Quiet and peaceful. No signs so watch for it on the left. Our GPS had us looking to the right and we passed it.

This is a really nice COE Park. Watch your GPS coming in as the day use park is closed and just one driveway from the entrance to the Campground. We had a nice full hookup spot with a view of the water across the way. We stayed here over Christmas when the arctic blast hit. We unhooked the water hose after filling our tank as did most of the other campers here. We saw the rangers winterizing the bathrooms and locking the doors. I understand why but it would have been nice to tell the campers ahead of time in case they needed them. There is an airport on the other side of the lake so you do hear airplanes overhead. There are lots of deer in the park. It is close to access exploring Waco, especially Magnolia Market.

There is an Ace Hardware nearby that fills propane tanks.

We stayed here to attend a concert at the arena. Nice pull through site with view of bridge. They are working on the highway 30 all through town so can be confusing. Owners sent directions but due to our tire going bad we arrived after dark. We missed the turn off to 30 so ended up coming in a different way. The next day in the daylight it was easy to see where we needed to go.

They stick to the 3pm check in time but let you park in overflow if you arrive early. The lower falls portage campground is walking distance to the lower falls and a short 3 mile drive to the upper falls unless you hike.

The lower falls were more interactive than the upper falls. They had a boardwalk to the new bridge to go to hike around the island to be able to see all of the 5 lower falls. Lots of people were wading but the best area for kids was just to the right after you cross the bridge and go around the corner to the shallow area.

The upper falls were beautiful and had steps to walk down for a closer view. The restaurant was good there too but they did have 3 snack shops with other food options.

Really great day trip was over to the Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point. Very worthwhile trip.

We really liked this park for the friendliness, amenities, and hiking but it was so close to I-10 it was very noisy. Road noise and trains constantly. We were parked in the row nearest to the road. If you are in the upper rows or park models it is not bad. Great group of pickle ball players. Nice bathrooms and exercise room. Small laundry but convenient. People were really friendly and there was a great group at the weekly church service in the clubhouse. There is an exercise trail just past the gate with fun exercise stops. Easy access to hiking at Picacho Peak State park. Nearest Walmart and Walgreens was in Casa Grande or Tuscon. They are expanding the park model area close to the base of Picacho Peak which should be really nice. Starlink worked great here.

We stayed here one night before going to the South Rim Campground at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Friendly check in and nice shady sites. Clean laundry room.

They offer Good Sam, Military or FMCA discounts.

Our first time here and we were surprised at how busy this lake is getting here. Once you are in the campground it is pretty quiet. Sites are spacious and private.

We went to Pictured Rocks while we stayed here and did the boat cruise. It was worth it for the views. We got our first pastie at Muldoon's.

There was no cell signal here and too many trees for starlink.

There was no dump station or water fill but there was a water spigot by the dumpsters for jugs.

This is still in the national park but on the other side of the mountain from the downtown bathhouses. We parked beside the creek. It was nice until we had a full day of down pouring rain. The creek rose quite a bit and a waterfall showed up across the creek. We didn't find out until the next day that we would have heard a siren if we needed to evacuate.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this was a nice park after our GPS taking us down a dirt road (Beech). After we checked in the host told us the main entrance is to turn off Hwy 20 on Elm then to 16th then Beech.

There are many seasonal people set up here with decks and you can tell they summer here. We had a nice pull through corner site with a view of the water through the trees. There are 3 loops for the Rv's. We were in the first loop but walked to the others. The beach/boat ramp area was about a mile and a half down the road in the park and the dump station was there. The other loop had a nice view from the point with Adirondack chairs. There are boat docks that had many pontoon boats and also fishing boats.

We found a nice laundry in White Cloud. It was older but clean. We also enjoyed the Hilltop Bulk Food store. It was also close enough to go to Grand Rapids for a day trip.

Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and rocks. Close to City of Rocks. Trees between the sites make it feel private. We went in early May so it was cool the first few days then got very hot. Be sure to follow the written directions as the signs can be deceiving. The General Store in town is a fun stop.
