Nice boondocking location. Next to the Reservoir so if you have a boat...
We stayed over the Memorial weekend knowing it would be hard to find camping. I have a 25' travel trailer towing w/Tundra. Had no problems on the sandy roads. Had 3 pronghorn visit, very cool. My site was level!! Shelia, the camp host was excellent. Neighbor was not the best camper and they took care of it PROMPTLY!

Nice campground in a beautiful setting with options for full hookup of even dry camping. Since it is full on winter I decided to go for the electric and water option, 30 Amp power. DOGS ARE WELCOME!!!
As with all campgrounds they must be on leash.
The bathroom/bathhouse is heated with flush toilets, showers, and even coin operated washer (2) and dryer.
The hiking trails were fun. But of course with winter hiking came some snow and mud patches.
And check out the museums while you are here. Kids of all ages will love the dinosaur museum! This is Georgia O'Keefe country and you will see so many of the sights that inspired her paintings.

There are 2 large sites and 3 smaller ones on the top of the bluff. I had the 4th spot from the road. 25' trailer fit perfectly and level. View of the San Juan River was great. Across the river is a cliff dwelling. Very cool.
There is also 1 site down the bluff towards the river.
Quiet, peaceful, 4 of the nights I was the only one there.

Great location for exploring South Park. I reserve 2 days early. Ended up at what I would call the ADA site even though I do not qualify. Lucky site though. Paved, level, clean, near restrooms. Hosts were great! Took the wildlife loop and saw bison, turkeys, pronghorn, and more. The regular sites are gravel and some looked like they could be a little tricky to level up.

Whatever you do don't follow Google Maps to try and find this place. I ended up on someone's farm road
They were nice about it but it sounded like not the first time it has happened.
I was the only on at the campground. Ended up taking the empty host site since it was the level one. Didn't use the vault toilet so can't speak to how it was. But the place is quiet.

Dugway was a good stopping point on my travels. The weather was stormy. Thunderstorms and heavy rains at times.
The campground is old, tired, and not well maintained. The picnic tables in the sites were crumbling with metal and rebar sticking out. Site 1, the only pull through was not really level but with blocks I was able to make it work for my 25' tow behind trailer. Didn't need the vault toilet but checked it out. It was clean and well stocked. The mosquitoes were plentiful! Luckily I do not react to their bite but they were bothersome.

This is an old campground that has not gotten attention paid to it. There were broken picnic tables in some sites. The sites are super small and tight. I have a 25' TT and it was difficult to park. And it was a double site. If there had been another camper in there I would never have made it. $25 a night was a hefty price for the accommodations. But, I guess that was because there were showers. But only heated by solar. Never saw the camp host or any staff.

The hosts were fantastic! The camp setup is unusual. Many of the sites are small pullouts next to the road. Not level but that is what blocks are for. I did like that I only had grasslands view in front of me. Clean sites. Although the site was narrow making my slide be over the curb and into the road, the hosts gave me pylons to make it visible. No problems. Quiet, peaceful. No Verizon but my site was close enough to the free wifi at host site I was able to connect from my rig. And where else will you have Bison visiting at the campground gate?

So many have written about the goathead and how they are everywhere. My dog and I stayed on the blacktop in the park. I walked her over to the lodge to take care of business. Of course I cleaned up after. Problems averted.
My site was level. I was able to empty my tanks and fill with fresh water. It was OK.
