This campground is just one year old. It is in a superb location, along the Cabot Trail and just outside of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The sites were spacious and open within steps of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Each site has a fire ring and table. The sunsets here are stunning, with each site having an unobstructed view. Along with this campground, you have access to some of the best food and music that Nova Scotia has to offer. A stay here gives you all of that and ready access to the Acadian, and the Skyline Trails. You also have ready access to whale watching tours in Chéticamp and Pleasant Bay. Topping all of this off are the owners of this place. Always willing to help or share information. This brand new campground has a promising future. We would definitely stay here again.

Well designed and well managed. The amenities are wonderful, with a low key vibe. This is close to pretty much everything in Kanab. Tour operators will pick you up at your site.

We had to use the bath suites just because they are so neat. Visit before you won’t be able to get in!

This is a small family run campground on the shores of North Lake. The location is nice as it’s a bit out of the way of the busier parts of the east side, but still with great access to everything. Particularly the beaches off of the North Lake Harbor. The sites are mostly on grass and have views of the lake. The 3 star rating comes from the challenge of leveling in some spots. Though the staff are available and helpful, providing additional boards and blocks to level up. The laundry is small and serviceable and run on the honor system. We are self contained so didn’t get a view of the facilities. We would defiantly stay here again.

We scored a recently upgraded site in the Arch Campground. It was partial hookups with water and electricity. There is a dump station closer to the Basin Campground, which also has reservable full hook up sites. We liked the quiet and rustic feel here at Arch. If you need one, there is a laundry on the road up to Basin. The short road to Arch is maintained gravel. Access is not a problem.

It looks like they were upgrading several sites in Arch to partial hookups. The services were brand new, and the site showed signs of recent work. Leveling is possible but not a given. The fire pit was brand new. The view amazing.

There is plenty to do just out of the campground. You’ll find hiking and mountian biking on the nearby trails. A drive to Grosvenor Arch is a must. However Bryce National Park is only under an hour drive away.

Don’t plan on cell service (Verizon) even if boosted. Though there is serviceable WiFi at the visitors center.

We only stayed for two nights, splitting our time between here and what was available in Halifax. This campground has good access to both the Peggy’s Cove area and Halifax. We stayed in a water & electric site, with great views of the bay. The site was large, on gravel and quite level. Many of the other sites were located on grass. The washrooms and laundry were serviceable. It was perfect for a day to fully explore Peggy’s Cove. We found the town very busy, as we where there over the weekend, and the area is a day trip from Halifax. There are a variety of sites here, from full hookup to non serviced. There were many tent and car campers registered. Our Verizon worked well enough. The WiFi in the park is spotty. When it worked, it worked well. Come with cash in hand as that is all they accept.

We arrived early afternoon on a Thursday to find that both Valley of Fire Campgrounds were full. Reading prior reviews, we had our eye open for space in the dispersed areas adjacent to the state park. We found one about 1/4 mile down a dirt road, 2 miles from the west entrance station and adjacent to the state park boundary. There are several sites here and while alone at first, we could eventually see six or eight others setting up in the area each night we stayed.

Prepare to dry camp. We chose a site with excellent solar, and came with full fresh water tank, and empty waste tanks. There is a dump station and fresh water at the campground. Overton Nevada is about 20 miles away though you must drive through the park to get there. It has fuel, grocery and laundry facilities. There is truck stop with gas about 17 miles away on the Valley of Fire Road toward the exit off of I15. Looks like they also have a convenience store. The Lake Mead National Recreation area is about 5 miles away from the east entrance to the state park.

Valley of Fire is not to be missed. The rock formations here are astounding. Be prepared for crowds. It is a popular park, and it is close enough to Las Vegas for day trippers. But do not let that deter you. Come and enjoy! Park admission is $10 a day.

We enjoyed our stay, and pleased with our choice to stay where we did. We would probably do the same next visit just to avoid the crowded busyness of the campgrounds.

There are 6 sites to stay right across the street from the hot springs. The rate includes unlimited time at their main pools. It’s a deal when you consider staying elsewhere and paying the hourly rate to access the pools. Downtown and restaurants are a short walk. As are spas that offer massage. Great place to relax from several long days on the road.

We booked here as other surrounding parks were fully booked. This park appears to be intended for private ownership of the lots. There are no facilities other than the full hookup sites, and a trash receptacle. While the flyer intended for selling the lots speaks to a clubhouse, laundry, spa-like bathrooms, and landscaped lots, none were to be found. While other travelers were set up here, there were a number of other semi-permanent occupants. While the sites were large with concrete patios, and good access, maintenance was nonexistent with an overgrowth of weeds. Empty lots were used as dog-walk areas where clean up was also nonexistent and unenforced, so watch your step. The manager was helpful and generally available, but most communication occurred via text. Payment was accepted only by cash or check. WiFI, while advertised was also nonexistent.

All of that said, the location of the park is excellent. The YMCA is located across the street. You can walk to town and restaurants. Recreation trails are located nearby, and you are in the heart of the Pioneer Mountains and surrounded by excellent fly fishing. The park met our needs for our visit to the area. It would be an excellent park if and when they can deliver the promise of their flyer.

This park offers great access not only to Aspen, but also the Crystal River Valley and Redstone. It is operated by the City. Getting the reservation was easy, and the on site hosts were very friendly.

Bath house was closed due to the virus. Also, while located near the highway, the traffic noise was barley noticeable.

We were taking our time traveling to Vancouver from Banff. Spending two nights in each location along the way. This was a quiet campground with shaded and private sites. We had a pull-though on gravel, which was level.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. This would be a great place to base out of to explore Canada's YOHO and Glacier National Parks. As it was, we took a bicycle ride around town that was recommended by the woman who checked up in.

It had great access to Golden with restaurants and shopping. The WiFi connection was about the best that we have had in Canada.

The entire campground is surrounded by mountain ranges, and the night sky here is like nothing else.
