Rough road in about 2 miles, construction in progress something will be changing here in the near future as I see it. Still free and served it's purpose but be careful on the way in.

Needed a free place to stay and 4 bars Verizon convinced me.

Nice clean area. I asked for permission and got it. By morning two other RV's in lot also. Of course I needed some supplies too so it's a win win for this Walmart!

Stayed here 8 days and liked it a lot. Lots of Sun, a Lake bed so it's flat. A bit of wind and 1 night of rain but
that pretty much dried up the next day so no problem leaving. Access roads off of gravel washboard road could be a bit tricky, but made it in & out without a problem. Great place to walk or bike. Great sunsets!!!
Would stay again!

Quiet, Mostly Unlevel sites. No internet at all. Even with my Wilson booster, NO service. OK for a night but it is 7 miles off of route 26 so you might find a better place. Paved NFS road which surprised me.

I guess it depends who you ask. First attendant said yes till other chimed in NO. I guess she had superiority and wanted to use it. And they had lots of room. Oh well.

A bit of noise in parking lot late at night, but didn't last long. Mostly level spot, no problems.

Nice clean site/area, not quite as level as others stated but OK. The night I was here 3 vans of college kids also camped nearby a bit of chatter but not bad. The overflow lot is not that large but sufficient for a 1/2 dozen rigs. Cell phone coverage (Verizon) was spotty and at times I had no service. For an overnight spot, quite sufficient! Bring your earplugs for the trains!

Access road was a bit rough but doable in all rigs. Lake bed of course is level that's always a plus. Lightly used, quite a few stopping just for one night. Wildflowers, now 04.04.18 are starting to bloom. Will keep this place in mind for the next time traveling by. Great Verizon cell service too, 5 bars with booster but probably not needed.

Must be a Thousand trails member to receive the stated rate paid. Memberships vary and cost can be high, but worthwhile if you use it a lot. Their Wifi was intermittent and I could not get a Verizon signal from my campsite. If I go back I might take a tent campsite as I could get a Verizon signal there. Beach is across the street which is a busy highway 101.
