Walmart

There are signs that say no overnight parking here, but there were a few rigs and we went inside to ask and were told it was no problem. We ended up staying here 3 nights in a row since it was very quiet and convenient to explore the area. There is a Grocery Outlet, Raley's and Laudromat 5 miles North.

I guess it depends who you ask. First attendant said yes till other chimed in NO. I guess she had superiority and wanted to use it. And they had lots of room. Oh well.

I just called ahead, they were super nice and said I could stay for one day. Other campers in the parking lot so felt safe, good lighting, and quiet.

Arrived late and just needed sleep. There were a few RVs parked around the parking lot. Everything was pretty quiet so I just parked and went to sleep. Never heard a sound until close to 6:00 when I heard a car go by. Clean and quiet! Just what I needed after 10 hours of driving. Thank you Walmart!! Of course I did a little shopping before I started on my way. 😁

Went into WalMart in Gardnerville on HWY 395 to check-in in the evening and was told that WalMart didn’t own the parking lot and that I could not stay there overnight. There were also signs posted saying no overnight parking and violators would be towed at their own expense. It was loud with cars coming and going with radios loud. I moved on to Hope Valley Sno-Park on Hwy 88 just past Hwy 89 and was glad I did. Peaceful.
