The dirt road to this campground could use some maintenance. The limbs are a little low for bigger rigs. We did not hit any but I could see a Fifth Wheel or Driving RV hitting. The campground is very well maintained and staff was nice. I believe this campground is best for camper vans, tent camping, and smaller travel trailers. NO Service, NO WiFi.

We have never been to Mt. Airy and were pleasantly surprised with the Town and area. This campground was very easy to get to, and was extremely clean. We loved our site #72. I would definitely stay here again and would request site numbers 71-83. We had a nice breeze coming up from the pond and the view was amazing. There are several community fire pits but you can request a fire ring and they will deliver it to your site. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with.

Got a reservation at last minute and stayed in site 1122. Shady spot with 2 trees near coffee shop and bathhouse. Very large campground and you need a golf cart to get around. Beach is nice but disappointed you cannot use anything other than a small umbrella for shade Memorial Day until Labor Day.

Booked last minute and still managed to get a site only 3 spaces back from the ocean. Large sites and the covered picnic tables were a nice addition. We hung a hammock in ours. Bathhouse was clean and new. Staff were extremely friendly. Stayed in B49

The sites are tight but the Park is beautifully landscaped. Very peaceful listening to the creek and sitting by a fire. Close to Mount Mitchell and the Blue Ridge Parkway. While there a camper side swiped a tree. Need to be very careful through this park. No service at all here and the WiFi seemed to always cut off around 6:00 pm.

We stayed 10 days and wish we booked longer. We had a great corner lot on the beach side. Loved that all spots were paved. We loved that we could walk or ride bikes across the street to the sound side to watch the sunset. The bath houses were very nice. Was interesting to have putt putt, pickle ball, and tennis be free. A great bonus! Game room, indoor and outdoor pool, and Jacuzzi we never used but I am sure they were great. Very friendly staff. Way better than the KOA next door!

We stopped here on the way to Marathon, Florida to break up the 15 hour drive from NC. This park is conveniently located between I-95 and the Turnpike. We loved this park! The sites are all paved and they put us in a pull through site so we did not even disconnect the truck. The hot tub and pool was nice after a 9 hour drive. We would definitely stay here again. The staff was very friendly!

Concrete pad was nice to have. Getting into the campground was a little tight. The public path in the middle of the campground was a little strange but no problems. A lot of foot traffic though. No WiFi for the kids...

First time staying here in the camper. I grew up coming here with my grandmother that lived on Snapper Lane. It has changed a lot to the good. Very busy but they have quite hours (11 pm to 7 pm) and people listen. The Halloweekends in October are very fun, the most trick-or-treaters I have seen in a long time. We had great shade at both locations. K34 had less traffic then 3168. You basically have it all here and do not need to leave if you don't want to.

Stopped here after purchasing our Airstream in Alabama to bring home to North Carolina. We came in after office hours with no issues. Staff was very friendly and campground was clean. We would stay here again when everything opens back up from the COVID-19 shutdown. Seemed to be centered among several local attractions and outdoor activities.
