Stop in ShipRock as a last point to get gas and use the restroom before heading out to this monument. The road from ShipRock until the Arizona border is not in good shape. Lots of pot holes, very bumpy would be putting it nicely.
Once you get there it’s $8 per person Visa/Mastercard only. Cash not accepted. The parking is a hot mess - so park where you think is best. The monument is a fun quick stop. Lots of vendors to buy things from. Bathrooms were port o potties or an outhouse (hole in the ground) not in good shape at all.
You park in the side road and walk out to a field - about a 7 minute walk. They had food trucks and a place you could buy spray paint ($$$$). It was an ok stop but people were just dropping their cans and lids on the ground and laughing.
Cute stop! There is a shop ($$$$) that sells paint, stickers, magnets and T-shirt’s. It was weird to spray but became very fun the more we did it. Right off the freeway. No restrooms but there is a Loves’s Truck Stop on the right when you take the exit.
Cute quick stop! No restrooms, but plenty of places to stop on the way in and out. Gazebo shaded for a nice lunch or rest. Parking lot across the street.
Entry is $5 cash only. The house is beautiful and smells like a sweet tobacco pipe. Walking the grounds is free and also gorgeous! Enjoy!
Super fun stop!! A little weird driving directions but stick with them you’ll get there.
Such a fun stop! Museum is free and has a gift shop and a cafe. Parking is paid and a couple blocks over.
Very cool stop! Parked across the street and walked over. Really enjoyed both houses.
TW: Be mindful if you have triggers - the “church” across the street has very foul and explicit signs posted all over.

Really fun stop! Parking is in the lot behind the easel. Beautiful sunflowers, park and visitors center. Restrooms were a portable bathroom.
