By far one of the better slot canyons I have hiked, plenty of room to move through canyon, not overly crowded, BRING WATER SHOES. You cannot avoid walking in water. The first falls has a makeshift ladder that's super helpful though this probably is not conducive to having young kids try to hike with you. It goes quite far back and at the end there are some makeshift water slides where water runs down the rocks. Pretty fun. Bring a snack or have some lunch, no garbage cans though. Pack in pack out. parking lot is plain and simple. park and leave your money in the box. its more done through honesty then accountability if you paid. atleast when i was there in 2013. Have fun! Much more exciting then the parowin gap :P

Great gift shop, a place to stretch your legs, and I believe there was some type of trail hike you could take but had to pay to see more of those paper mache figurines along the trail. Snacks available and of course, an amazing photo op you cant beat.

The drive is soooo long but the view is amazing, quite a hike down to the light house. some 300 stairs down (and back up dont forget) but id say worth it.

The best red wood park we saw by far, all natural no signs posted all over no board walks, not a lot of people and not only are the red woods huge but these ones in this park are massive many fallen for the chance to climb on or good photo ops.

Amazing. The park service provides tours into the cave it lasts roughly an hour. make sure to bring a jacket as it was about 40 degrees in there. Beautiful views, amazing formations and the staff was great. Bring your camera as they are allowed. Lot of steps but worth it! The drive up to the site is rough, many many many (like 30) switch backs that are fairly narrow and tight up a mountain but still fun. Make sure you have enough gas! Barely made it, thankfully the way down we coasted. :D

This is so under rated. It is amazing and beautiful and the hikes you can take, take you up through and past many falls. It takes a couple hours but bring a water bottle or 2 and youll be fine, bring a camera for sure.

Nothing short of amazing, need to book a flight to get there or drive but old rail road ties make up a lot of the road way driving, make sure to be in a SUV and have an extra tire. I was there in summer 2013 but the national park service has since purchased it and closed it for renovations, not sure when it will re open to the public. The copper mill is 14 floors they take you thru from the top (not handicapp accessible at all) and you walk down the floors as you go through the different processes of how the ore rocks and minerals were process from large rocks and broken down sorted and filtered until you reach the bottom. Historically interesting as well as amazing views of the glaciers mountains and a piece of history. Feels like you are back in the 20s, Very rustic.

Lived two hours from Valdez for a summer, the glacier cruise is awesome. You will be guaranteed to see sea harbor seals, sea otters at the least. We saw porpous and whales as well, saw the glaciers and it was amazing beautiful. Though cold and rainy when I went there is both indoor and outdoor seating as well as snacks available for purchase.
