We overnighted here on our way through the area. This is a small park with a handful of pull-thru sites. The park is well kept and the shower/bathroom facilities are some of the nicest and cleanest we’ve seen. The park is managed by the owner’s father and he is very helpful. Our only ding on this park is that many of the sites are not all that level for a motor coach. We would stay here again.

We stayed here just overnight, but this could be a destination park, too, for anyone wanting to stay near the Hilton Head Island/Savanna area for awhile. The park is clean and well laid out. Wifi is strong and very fast. The sites are fairly spacious, but most are out in the sun. Access is easy and the park accommodates big rigs.

Schoodic Woods Campground in Acadia NP is a wonderful place. As others have said, Schoodic is peaceful and much removed from the hubbub of the Mt. Desert Island side of Acadia. This campground would earn a solid five stars from us if it only had showers. I imagine the NPS has some rationale, but it seems odd that a nice new campground that is obviously well thought out wouldn't have showers. That aside, the sites in the B loop are very spacious with privacy and very well maintained amenities. This loop is very big rig friendly.

Of course the Schoodic Peninsula is gorgeous with several trails to hike and numerous scenic outlooks. Peace and tranquility abound here, but the attractions of Bar Harbor are only a 45 minute ferry ride away. The towns of Winter Harbor and Birch Harbor are very close and offer good dining and grocery supplies.

Endless Caverns is a very nice rustic campground with many large sites. Some are tucked back in matures trees and others are more open, so there is something for everyone. We are a big rig and had no problems getting into and around the campground. They provide a follow-me escort to get you to your site safely and efficiently--a nice perk when maneuvering a large RV. Endless Caverns is close to Shenandoah National Park, Civil War museums, caverns for you spelunkers, and several towns with essential amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in this area.

Twin Grove is a large well kept campground with many amenities and activities for adults and families, including a pool, volleyball court, disk golf, restaurant and store. There is even a sizable dog park for our four-legged travel companions. The campground is big rig friendly; easy to get around in with many large, FHU sites. Some sites are rustic and some--especially the pull-thrus--are parking lot style. There are many seasonal and long-term residents, but almost all are well maintained. This is not a run down place by any means. Twin Grove is busy on the weekends in season, so advance reservations are advisable.

This is a very nice RV park for the Okeechobee,FL, area. Truly an RV park and not a mobile home park that claims to be an RV resort. Every site is pave and nicely landscaped. No permanent residents, but monthly rates are available. The park management is very nice and accommodating.

REI Lakes Campground is a basic campground in a pastoral lakeside setting. Many of the sites are FHU with 50 amp service. There are some long term residents with a few that are a bit run down, but most are well cared for. Other reviewers have noted that this place tends to get boisterous and loud on the weekends, but we found it to be quiet and peaceful (at least while we were here). The grounds are well cared for by the onsite hosts. We stayed here in a 41' coach with a toad and had no problems getting to or around the campground. We would stay here again.

We’re enjoying a relaxing stay at Jolly Roger. Staff is courteous and accommodating. Premium seawall sites offer gorgeous daily sunsets over the Gulf. Interior sites are less expensive. Some have good space and others are close together.

Jolly Roger has a boat ramp and plenty of moorings. It has a very nice tiki pavilion and lounge area right on the water. The pool, shower and laundry facilities are clean and well kept. This is a pet friendly resort with a large dog park. They do require a refundable deposit to cover any transgressions of their many pet rules. The rules are common sense to ensure everyone enjoys their pets without annoying others, but they do expect you to follow them.

Marathon is close by with a plethora of shopping and dining possibilities.

We really enjoy this campground. It’s very well kept and big rig friendly. It has a nice mix of FHU and water/electric sites, a mix of which can be reserved or walk-in. Lake Shelbyville is a nice lake for anglers and pleasure boater. Sullivan is a nearby town that offers a good mix of restaurants, grocery and hardware stores. We have a lot of friends in the area so we always enjoy our stays here. But even without the local connection Bo Wood is a nice place to stay for awhile.

Country Oaks is a nice little campground conveniently close to I-95. It's quiet and the staff is friendly. We got a pull-through FHU site for our overnight stay. Campers are a mix of weekenders and some long-terms. Some older RVs but most are pretty nice.
