Beautiful Falls, wrong location

The pictures are accurate, but the location and address is incorrect. Ramona Falls is on the east side of Mt. Hood (NE from Timberline Lodge on the Timberline Loop Trail). This entry shows the location as on the NW side of the mountain on state road-35.

Find it on Google Maps by searching:
Ramona Falls Trail #797, Mt Hood, OR 97041

Directions from the Mt.Hood Nat'l Forest Page:
From Sandy, OR - take Highway 26 east for approx. 17.5 miles and turn left at Lolo Pass Road (Forest Road 18); follow this road for 4 miles. Turn east (right) onto Forest Road 1825 and continue 0.6 miles, cross a bridge and then continue 1.7 miles to a road junction. Bear left at the junction onto Forest Road 1825-100 and drive 0.3 mile. Take a left onto Forest Road 1825-024 to a large open parking lot (0.2 mile) at the Ramona Falls trailhead.

The correct website address (with GREAT current info): https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mthood/recarea/?recid=53460

Unfortunately there are no public services available without a reservation/booking.

We are boondocking at a snopark nearby and stopped in simply to ask about potential paid services for non-res folks (ie: paid dump station, fresh water, etc.).

I can report that they let us drive around to take a look and this is a very beautiful and large park with sites in the sun, and sites in the trees. They do have a darling gift store with some fun items though, and a restaurant that is on the "public" side of the gate as well.

From the website:

Northwest School of Survival was founded in 1983 by our President Brian Wheeler. Our goal then and now remains the same: to provide year-round professional hands-on safety training in the skills required for preventing or surviving remote backcountry emergencies. Our instructors are all professionals and highly skilled in their respective fields. Each will provide quality instruction drawing from years of previous knowledge and experience. Most of them are also certified as well as active members on mountain rescue teams. We are convinced that we have some of the finest, well-trained outdoor educators in the world.

NWSOS - ITP has grown from a small business to a company that provides vital hands-on training for the U.S. Military & Government Agencies, and some of the largest corporations in the world. We are #1 in the energy/telecommunication industries for providing corporate safety training for remote survival situations as well as operation of off-road/snow mechanized forms of travel, e.g. snowcat, snowmobile, ATV, 4X4, etc.

We also provide public training programs to recreationalists, search and rescue teams, backcountry professionals, teachers, and others whose lives literally depend on the skills acquired. If you work/play in remote wilderness locations, we have a course for you. Whether it’s cold weather survival or wilderness survival, map & compass /GPS navigation or a guided Mt Hood Summit Climb, we can provide basic through advanced instruction for any skill set covered in our courses.

We offer year-round training at our base of operations (Mt Hood, Oregon) or we can travel to your location (U.S. Training Sites) anywhere in the world. Regardless of which type of event you choose and where, your safety is our top priority. Our instructors work year round in remote mountainous cold weather regions and understand the stresses and hazards faced when working /training in adverse conditions. We hope you will join us for some of the most thrilling and memorable experiences of your life.

Please click through our website and call us to discuss our training programs and/or what your specific outdoor training needs are. We welcome the opportunity of having you train with us.

I spent some time trying to find this company/facility through various searches online and have determined it no longer exists. Bummer!

Unfortunately as of this date, although you are able to submit a reservation request online, ultimately, you must speak to someone in order to reserve a site. Nice touch, but difficult if you are trying to book outside of office hours. I was finally able to call during office hours and still had to leave a message. The website does show it as a nice looking facility. http://theblueoxrvpark.com/

We didn't stay here, but will definitely keep it on our radar for the future! I added some photos from the highway showing a bit of an overview. Posting simply to confirm by this date that it is active and in use. Way to go, Oregon!

VERY LARGE area for parking. We didn't stay here, but I grabbed a photo to show the large lot as we drove by. The casino looked like an active place, but was far enough away from the truck parking to not be an issue.
