Definitely worth a stop. Very beautiful architecture and photo worthy. It is kind of amazing that there’s this historical church amidst a bustling market and sky scrapers that the backdrop provides.
North Seoul Tower. It was an okay time. Taking the trolley up was cool. But going all the way up to the tower was kind of anticlimactic. It definitely was a tourist trap with all sorts of vendors, food, and “let me take your picture” people.
The glass to see out of was all smudged up and the reflection of all the “fun stuff” (vendors, etc) made it near impossible to see the city’s twinkling lights. Unlike Frankfort’s viewing deck that was open air, this one was stuffy and I actually couldn’t wait to go back down. Not stuffy in a small way, but just too extra much going on instead of just the simple appreciation of that skyline.
If by chance anyone plans to go, keep this in mind. Take the trolley up the mountain. There’s a nice park like promenade area that allows for open air viewing of the skyline. But don’t waste your time or money on going all the way.
Loved it! So neat to see. Comes with a tour for $6. The acoustics were awesome! Only downfall was no pics allowed due to “copyright”, thought that part was kind of lame. But worth seeing anyway.
Right across the way from the cemetery. Cool little spot.
Little plaque on the park side of the road. Interesting little side piece. Google for more historic photos.
Peter was so kind to us! I loved hearing all of the information he provided us. We even said the Our Father prayer together. Plus his collection is really remarkable. Loved this spot and him!
Didn’t get to go downstairs because there was only one person to staff the church but we made the best of it. The women did compile a binder and did give us some food info. She was super friendly too. Next time we’ll try to go downstairs.
