The N Seoul Tower (), officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. At 236m, it marks the second highest point in Seoul. Built in 1971, the N Seoul Tower is Korea's first general radio wave tower, providing TV and radio broadcasting in Seoul. Currently, the tower broadcasts signals for Korean media outlets, such as KBS, MBC and SBS.
North Seoul Tower. It was an okay time. Taking the trolley up was cool. But going all the way up to the tower was kind of anticlimactic. It definitely was a tourist trap with all sorts of vendors, food, and “let me take your picture” people.
The glass to see out of was all smudged up and the reflection of all the “fun stuff” (vendors, etc) made it near impossible to see the city’s twinkling lights. Unlike Frankfort’s viewing deck that was open air, this one was stuffy and I actually couldn’t wait to go back down. Not stuffy in a small way, but just too extra much going on instead of just the simple appreciation of that skyline.
If by chance anyone plans to go, keep this in mind. Take the trolley up the mountain. There’s a nice park like promenade area that allows for open air viewing of the skyline. But don’t waste your time or money on going all the way.
Great views, worth the hike up
