Nice campground IF you are able to get into the Battleship row, newer sites, full hook ups, concrete pads, near large bathhouse with individual bathrooms and laundry.
I was over in Anchor Cove, older area, sandy/dirt entire camp area which wasn't so bad except my camper daily sank uneven in site. H2O and electric, dump station, BEAUTIFUL old trees providing wonderful shade!, camp fire and picnic table. Some sites tricky to manuever to get into and some sites close to each other while others had ample space. On the bay, nice park, playground, flag frisbee course, kayak rentals etc...would definately stay again if able to get into the Battleship Row area.

Great camping, small campground, only 7 sites, each nicely spaced, 200m I'd guess, from each other tucked in the Cary State Forest. HUGE sites! with nice picnic tables, fire ring with benches around to sit, grill, large mulched site for tent camping, concrete pad for camper, a T-rack for hanging food on, water and power. Absolutely wonderful for sleeping in the great outdoors, no lights to block view of stars. Occassional train would be only noise outside of nature. Drove to small town, Baldwin to ride the 14+mile rail to trail. Very nice if this is your idea of getaway.
Small, 2 stall, very nice, clean bathhouse.
Staci is a friendly informative hostess!

After a beautiful, despite construction stops along way, drive, pulling into Coastline RV Resort & Campground I was immediately impressed with bright, cleanliness of campground. The office is meticulous, Patty was friendly and welcoming. Would have enjoyed staying longer, yet only 2 nights were available. Site #36 was "next door" campground a mere 800' down road. Three rows in from beach/road side. LONG, packed, crushed gravel, pretty darn close to 100% level parking, with ample space for additional parking. Large concrete pad with new picnic table, beautiful landscaping (behind this site was construction area for coming pool area). Clean, easy access to all hook ups,(slight stretch for sewer and elec hook up if you pull all the way into parking space). Really enjoy the no parking lot lights in campground, the stars were amazing at night. Bathhouse at "sister camp site" is passcode locked, entry with two each woman and men;s LARGE bathrooms with shower, found clean and tidy. 2 each small and slightly "older" compared to rest of campground, coin operated washer and dryers. $2/each per load. Medium setting on dryer was HOT, use caution selecting temp. Worked just fine.
I would absolutely come back~
Only noise was road traffic and crickets at night~

MacDill is a very large, several hundred campsites, all in a basic grid pattern. Paved streets between the grassy campsites, (to be maintained by campers), with concrete pad next to two lane of pavers for camper to park on, picnic table, no fire ring, power box with light for evening hook up, water, sewer, cable hook ups. Some sites have nice shade which comes in very hand during hot days. No real privacy between sites. Several pages of rules to agree to follow including a point system for infractions leading to removal from campground. Large laundry room with over dozen washers and dryers-yet "dirty", lots of lint exhaust. $1.75/wash and $.25 for 8 min dry.

Close to beach area, marina with lots of options for renting. A restaurant close by too. Majority of campers were long term, 6+month campers. Ok camping~

Tucked in the back of the base, MAKE sure you come in the main gate! GPS took me to Bay view Dr gate which no rv's are allowed to enter. Not many signage once on base showing where to go.

I was slightly hesitant driving down the road to Live Oak Landing, the neighborhood is slightly run down with some nice homes mixed in. At end of road is Live Oak Landing, a small, nice campground. The employees at check in went above and beyond to manipulate so I wouldn't have to change sites each nite as I arrived during spring break and the park was full to capacity. Concrete pads, with full hook ups, (the sewer was too far from my camper so had to wait to pull forward to dump). The pool area was small, and from overhearing conversation b/t employees chlorine not "right" so I didn't use pool, Nice trees provided shade, very quiet come nite time which was pleasant. Small trailer type cabins intermixed in the sites, lots of "regulars" camping. Close to the beach and plenty of state parks to visit. Washer and dryers were interestingly "outside" in a covered area and "worn". Didn't use them so unsure their efficiency. Internet was sketchy if at all and same with cell phone service, calls were continually being dropped. Rate was with military discount.

A good 20mile drive off local route to get to Edisto Beach State Park. Directional signage could be better once in park. PAY attention to the web sites details for each campsite, some a much larger than others. Water, elec hook up. Site 116 backup up snugly and surprisingly level (be comfortable manuevering into some sites off the slightly narrow at spaces road into site) into a beautiful site under palmettos, and oaks with drippy moss overlooking the swamp. Pleasantly surprised at minimal if any bugs or "stink" as anticipated during low tide. Nice hard dirt packed trails, easy, and not long at all, for biking or hiking. half mile to beach where there are more campsites.
Bathhouse was ok, not impressed with cleanliness or privacy(shower curtain that's all).
Overall, beautiful campsite in the ACE basin, nice dark quiet campground to enjoy nature in it's fullest if that is your thing for camping. Feel it is overpriced for not full hook up at a state park. No discounts unless SC resident.

We love camping here, clean, quiet, pet friendly. Entrance is tricky if you to see if you don't know where it is and tricky to get out of traffic and turn if traveling south due to traffic on main road. Site numbers are painted on the road and can be tricky to see. We love the North "old" campsites even thought they are water and electric only, gravely dirt mix and just slightly uneven not enough for us to break out levelers. Not sure what the other prices paid that are listed. We paid$48/night for the old campground, the new South Campsites with full hook ups are $61/night. We did not qualify for any discount, no Good Sam, military or National park pass.
Great campground, beautiful clean beach~ ENJOY~
