Hey, y'all! I'm a Texas girl living in Alaska (for the moment). There is nothing better in the world than a full tank of gas and my dog, Ruby, sitting shotgun.

Really one of the most beautiful places ever.
The park map is really your best guide- if you only have a few hours, I'd pick your top five must-sees and head out through the park.
It gets HOT- make sure you're brining plenty of water!
Dogs are allowed at most stops, just not on trails. Some of the more popular stops can get crowded- if you want pictures without a ton of tourists in them, you may want to get there as early as you can.

You could spend hours here if you wanted. Simply beautiful.
There are some tricky parts of the road, so if you're in a little car, you might want to seriously check out the hills/curves.
A good place to get lost for a while and really look out over the earth.
You won't see too many cars, so you'll really feel alone at times- but that's the point of traveling, no?

Where else can you be in four places at once?!
There are a lot of Navajo vendors around- make sure you walk around and say hello. Maybe even buy a souvenir.
A line can form to take pictures in the middle, so if you're pressed for time, try and get there early.

Make sure you have a GPS or some sort of map- you could end up walking/driving around for hours and not find it.
An INCREDIBLE place to stop and wander. There's a measly wire fence and then...wilderness. As far as the eye can see.
Other-worldy rock formations. Make sure if you visit in the summer to bring a lot of water.

RIP, Walter White.
This tombstone is around the shopping center, and it does appear to be missing something in one of the bottom corners. Still worth a quick stop!

Really gorgeous, even on a cloudy day!
I rode to the top and got a coffee. The only bummer is you can't have drinks on the tram ( I get it), so I got to have a moment to relax at the top and look out from the balcony. Cute little bar/restaurant at the top, too.

I'd say it's worth a stop if you're a true Breaking Bad fan. When I visited, no one came outside to yell/tell stories. A few other people drove up around the same time, and we helped each other take pictures.
A nice quick stop on the unofficial Breaking Bad tour!

This KOA was awesome! I really enjoyed the hot tub...It was nice to finally relax after a few days on the road. So pet-friendly- LOVED the Kanine KOA dog park!

A classic road trip stop. There can be a lot of spray cans on the ground, but the point of that is to reuse someone else's spray paint. Every once in a while, a crew comes through and cleans it all up.
People save a little waste by using leftover cans.
A scene from The Great Food Truck Race was filmed here! Awesome!

Surrounded by crop fields, this little gem is a nice stopping point for a picnic or letting your dog out. There aren't any restrooms, but plenty of big trees and bushes...
Cute little chapel and a spring-loaded little ride.
