We stopped here for one of the clues on our families Amazing Race out west. We were not expecting to wait for almost 2 hours to enter but we did go close to July 4th and it was worth every minute of the wait. Our guide, Gene was fantastic and kept us full of water and passed out some candy as well. He told us stories, showed us how the canyon was made, played the flute for us and took great pictures of our family while we were down in the canyon. I heard that if you go during the week and not close to a holiday then there is hardly ever a wait! Wear close toed shoes and if you are claustrophobic STILL GO. I am severaly claustrophobic but the opened ceilings and pure beauty of all kept my mind from ever going into panic mode. In fact I WILL GO AGAIN!!!

We stopped here as part of our family's Amazing Race trip out west. We were so excited to get here but the minute we drove up my heart sank. There is so much potential here but its past being neglected. Fresh paint, landscaping, people who actually want to work here would all make a huge difference and attract so many more tourist. The giftshop didn't sell anything Flintstone related and the EVERY SINGLE attraction was way overdue in needing a paint job, wasp nest clean out and/or rust removal. My kids loved being able to run from place to place but for $5 a piece I expected so much more....it ruined my love of the great cartoon.

We stopped here as part of our Amazing Race family trip out West. We drove past it at least 3 times before noticing the structures on the side of the parking lot. The 4 things to see were nice, but you can visit other places that are more informational and better presented. The store has weird times and it was already closed. The signs were quite lengthy and my kiddos lost interest quickly. If you have time to stroll through do it, if not you will see other displays out west that are better.

We stopped here as part of our Familys Amazing Race trip out west. At first glance Gouldings looks small and not worth your stop. BUT, step inside and you are immediately sucked into the life of the Gouldings and their interactions with the Indians. The home upstairs is very detailed and you can imagine the hardships they faced. We loved the Joyn Wayne room but were expecting more for the cabin out back. I would definitely recommend this stop!

YOU MUST TAKE KIDS HERE!!!!! This was one of our stops on our family's Aamzing Race trip out west and it was by far in our top 3 out of 62 clues!!! The people that work here are genuinely kind and showed amazing love and patience with our kiddos. We dressed up like pioneers, we went through every cabin, we panned for gold, we tasted every sample and then bought 1 of everything (it seemed like). Their souvenirs were by far the most reasonably priced that we saw on our whole trip. I have been telling everyone back in TX how great it was. AND they were the only place for miles around that was open on the 4th of July. WHAT A GEM!!!!

This was one of the stops for our Amazing Race trip with our family. We loved the rocky mountain chocolates. We enjoyed our short trolley ride. We window shopped and enjoyed seeing all of the local support!

We loved this inn. It was clean, great staff, great selection at breakfast. I do wish it would have been even more retro but there were very cute decor in the office and outside...just not in the rooms themselves. We will definitely stay again!

We stayed here as part of our family's 15 day Amazing Race trip out west. It was by far the prettiest campsite we stayed in and we loved being able to hear the creek from our site. Book on the A loop, and request close to the creek so that your kids can play it and you will be more a little more secluded but still close to all the amenities. The showers were $4 for 8 minutes, they were warm but compared to other campsites it was kind of expensive. We felt safe and the store had everything you may need. Book early as they were full and couldn't allow campers to book an extra night. We will definitely visit here again!

We really enjoyed our Lil Rattler Jeep Tour. We booked this as a part of our Family's Amazing Race trip out West and for my oldes't 13th birthday. Sherman was our driver and even though I don't believe half of the stories he told it made for a great trip. He punched up the bouncing when he could and my kids were screaming and laughing. It was very enjoyable even with the hot temperatures. He gave us advice on local places to check out and insight into the history we were seeing. He also had plenty of water for us as we underestimated what we would need!I would book with them again!

We stopped here as part of our Family Amazing Race trip out west. I knew from pictures that it would be worn down but wanted my kids to experience it. I thought the whole place was sad and that with someone who woud put some love and time into it, it could be GREAT. Everything was neglected and dark. My kids still enjoyed running around (they had been in a car for a while) and they enjoyed playing on the equipment. The souvenir shop had maybe 1 magnet dedicated to the Flintstones and the rest was all about Hwy 66. I hope someone buys this and turns it into the nostalgic rest stop it really could be!!!
