If you want to have a very comfortable stay while in wine country, this is it. We had a view of the mountain instead of buildings.
Take it all in! Start with the video and tour then museum. There's unique history including NASA training. Be respectful of the land around too as it has been privately owned for generations.
Only in America. Great info center sights and busses. Pack a lunch, or purchase it, be prepared to eat a meal here as it is quite a grand sight. Loads of walking and hiking trails, from strollers to overnight camping trails.
Educational trip for kids and adults. Easy dam walk with fun photo by state line sign of Nevada and Arizona. Had an unexpected and neat visit to restroom which sits above the edge of dam.
Enjoyable stop! Everything was is order and super friendly staff, made you feel like they appreciated you there. Inside is an unexpected gift shop. Since indoor photos are allowed, please respect those few areas where they are not. No trip is complete without a hotdog from the stand in their parking lot!
If you're nearby, you just have to have your photo in front of the iconic sign! There's a parking lot in the median on the south bound lane only.
Our first trip to Disneyland. Make sure to prepare far in advance by researching lingo, how-to, tips, tricks and fascinating facts. We did that and had a professional trip planner and still felt stressed while on vacation. My advice, there's so much to learn and do, just enjoy the moment and accept that everything else is to keep the locals coming back. We'll go back!
