“Try out our 40 minute tour!”
Jelly Belly Candy Co. makes more than 100 mouthwatering candies, including such delights as chocolates, gummies, sour candies, and confections for all seasons. Step into our factory and smell the aroma of chocolate, peach, cinnamon, pineapple, or whatever is being cooked up that day. A visit to our candy making factory in Fairfield, California, located about an hour's drive north of San Francisco, and 45 minutes west of Sacramento. During the 40-minute walking tour, Jelly Belly tour guides will show you a real working factory where we cook up over 150 different sweet treats. Learn the secrets to how we create the legendary Jelly Belly jelly bean, and discover why it takes more than a week to make a single bean.
This is a great tour. It's packed though during the summer with summer camp groups, tourists, etc. But it was worth the time to visit. My kids, 11 and 13 enjoyed it, they liked the free bag of jelly bellys they got on the tour and had fun at the sample bar. Pick up a bag or 5 of their Belly Flops when you visit---they're cheap and they make good thank you gifts for people taking care of your house/pets when you're on your vacation. :-)
Good tour even though it was a little crowded. If you come on a weekday the factory is running. Overall fun place to go.
Family fun stop. We got there early in the day and started with the tour. Received samples of the "bean" during the production phase while seeing the factory floor and informational videos. In the gift shop, you must try the free samples of unusual flavors!
Tour is only video on weekends. Still a great thing to do, just know that the factory workers aren't there on weekends.
Great smells and lots of freebies! (Some parts of the tour get a little long for smaller children.)
So much fun, I never would have thought a free jelly bean factory tour would keep us there for 3.5 hours. The self guided tour takes 40 minutes easy. The cafe is yummy and the sample station is just about the funnest to do with a 9 year old, they have all the gross flavors as well as the juicy tasty favorites. I had no idea Jelly Belly was family owned and operated all these years. You see interviews with the 6th generation of family employees. As if we didn’t buy the family owned and operated bit as we were leaving 3 of the folks we met in the intro video were just arriving for work. Super cool!
How fun! Fun for all ages! Great stop!
Had a fantastic time. Love the sample bar ❤️ We give this a 5 just for the RV parking!
This is really a two-fer if you have kids. If the kids endure the local wineries, and we highly recommend Vezer Family Vineyards, then cap the day off with a tour the Jelly Belly Factory (JBF). That said, even for Adults it was fun!
This is a fun family activity. Try to get there at opening or as soon as possible because the lines get long but overall a fun stop
