Tried to go but we were in a rush and it takes 45 minutes from the visitor center to get there. Make sure you alott enough time and go early. It closes at 4:30ish and they'll close it if wind speeds exceed 40mph

Closer till till July 21 but there is a trail 100 ft North of the turn to the overlook. Has really cool views.
