“Iconic Vista on Pacific Coast Highway”
Muir Beach Overlook is an Easy walk with a great payoff. The iconic staircase leads down to the small overlook. On a clear day, you can see a long way from this vantage point. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax.
Closer till till July 21 but there is a trail 100 ft North of the turn to the overlook. Has really cool views.
Very beautiful overlook! I unfortunately ended up going on a foggy day, but I loved it nonetheless. The roads are very sharp and curvy on the way up, drive with caution! Recommend this!
These gorgeous trails along the Pacific's edge are just 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco if you can beat the traffic. We hiked a few miles and scoped out Pirate's Cove, a harrowing climb down but beautiful foray to the beach and rough ocean waves. We rewarded our hike with a delicious brunch at the Pelican Inn just up the road from where we parked.
