Billies is a great location--walking distance to a lot of places such as hot licks ice cream, creamers field, etc. Bus lines easily accessible. You're staying in Billies house, so you have the typical home comforts, including her two pudgy pugs waddling around. You can stay in a tipi where a cot is available, however this wasn't the best choice for me since it was raining and cold. I opted for the glass gazebo instead. You could probably see the northern lights from the gazebo in good clear weather!

Get here like 2 hours before your movie time. My boyfriend and I went to see a movie for the first time here and sat in 4 lane traffic for so long our movie started without us, so we left and came back a couple nights later--this time much earlier and we made it before all the cars in line got backed up. There are about 5 screens here and no signs telling you which lane or booth or direction to go in so it's also a bit confusing. The snack shack food is terrible and without much to offer, but there is a playground, bathrooms, and arcade games near and inside the snack shack. Movies are only $7.50 per adult!

South Lake Tufa's had the best photo opps, though it was a few bucks to park there.

Directions on the websites we found compared to the parking/hike in we actually experienced were very confusing! We wound up driving alllll the way down the one-lane dirt road in which the sign saying hot spring directed us down, when in reality we needed to be parked in the little 'parking lot'/camping space before you even get to that little sign. Hike in, but bemindul of the mud. We were disappointed here not only because of our major directional detour, but because once we got there it was PACKED--mostly with naked pot smoking hippies sitting in a massage circle... we wound up going back to Travertine hot springs for a much better experience.

Definitely a 5 rated, especially for the views you get while sitting in the pools.

Free and open 24 hours, this clothing optional attraction is the perfect spot to visit at night under a full moon or meteor shower. Be prepared to share your pool with others, but eventually you'll have the place to yourself at night if you wait it out til everyone heads back to their campsites and hotels.

Bland edemame, decent miso, but luckily great sushi rolls and loads of choices! My fav was the Phoenix Roll.

After running in San Fran's first Cupid's Undie Run, a group of us headed here for some AWESOME comfort food. They have a number of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and add-on options, along with delicious soups, salads, homemade deli pickles, breakfast, etc. Yummy drink choices too--we got mango lemonade and a housemate soda.

Neat reserve, though I wish we had gotten to visit during low tide. I hear the tide pools are great and full of wildlife!

We had an awesome private room with a view of the gorgeous coast! The lighthouse is just for photo opps, you don't sleep in it, but our room made it feel as if we were. Friendly staff handled our reservation wonderfully. The gate closes at 11pm so make sure to get there for check in before then, or call ahead of time if you need to make other arrangements.
You can walk to the Fitzgerald marine reserve along with a few other neat places from the hostel and they provide walking directions to each location. Only downfall was not offering free breakfast like most other hostels.
