Dump station provided by the city. Large turn around area. Drain pipe is at least 3”+ so I just sort of laid my drain pipe in and called it a day. Water didn’t specify drinking vs not so I did not fill up with water. Great off leash dog park and human playground very close by.
Straightforward parking lot camping. We stayed in the paved area at the far west end of the property. They said take as many spaces as we wanted. We took about 6. They ask that you sign up for a players card with $10 free credit and get a pass from security but I saw many that didn’t have a window pass from security. There is another lot on the south side I saw a few RVs in overnight, it has a better view but it is far from flat and I got the vibe they prefer you don’t park over there. All in all a typical parking lot experience I can’t complain about.
Despite previous reviews we loved our stay here. Campspot placed me into a spot that was way to short based on my length (close to 48’ total). They were very accommodating and moved us into a larger space that was able to accommodate us with pull through plus space for our second car we were traveling with. I saw a review about a dusty, windy parking lot. You would complain if it wasn’t flat and in case you didn’t notice you’re on the beach, wind is a side effect. The hosts were very helpful and offered great suggestions on things to see and places to go. As long as you arrived in daylight hours they always had somebody to show you to your spot.

We found this place and made a reservation a day in advance while traveling across the country. There were a couple RV parks in Santa Rosa but we prefer to stay in state or local parks and the locations in town had HORRIBLE reviews. This area is 15 minutes off I40 which keeps it less busy and very quiet. The site we stayed in had 30 amp and water which worked great for our needs. Being around a lake in the desert there is bugs galore here but it’s the outdoors, it comes with the territory and I can’t fault the ownership with that.

This is one of the largest state parks in Oregon. They have 13 “loops” with a mix of yurts, tent and RV camping. We have stayed in the L loop with full hookups and this time are in the N loop with only water and electric. The N loop has less vegetation between sites than some of the northern ones but we still enjoyed our stay.

As a previous reviewer said the signs are misleading. The sign that says no trailers over 25 feet is I’m guessing indicating that the parking lot to the left at the bottom of the hill does not have a turnaround. I went ahead and pulled all 29 feet down the hill and into the campground area. There was only one spot that would have potentially accommodated me and it was occupied so I moved on. For my purpose with a trailer this wasn’t really a useable option, this is more of a tent place. That said it would be a wonderful quiet spot but beware you don’t get abducted by mosquitoes. They were at my window in a cloud as soon as I stopped the car.
