Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 23, 2022We chose this park because of its location: the view from my front window was the dunes, beach and jetty. The sunsets were stunning and there were seals in the surf every time I walked the beach. This beach is covered with driftwood and, since the Rogue River exits right there, the rock collecting was super great on the beach and along the river (including a lot of agates).
About 10 miles up the Rogue River, in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest there is a marvelous hike through an old growth forest (search for Francis Shrader Old Growth Trail).
The sites are only 30amps, and have no sewer hookups, but the dump station is an easy reach. Be aware, the wind is mighty brisk right on the beach. We had to bring our satellite dish down one night.

In many years of RV living, this is the worst experience I’ve had. While it is located right at the beach, there is no protection or trees to block the sometimes 20 mile an hour winds. So most days are spent indoors. Most sites are too narrow for an awning or picnic table and you’ll be crammed in like sardines.
The management is very poor. A modern online reservation system with choice selection is needed, because either the staff is disorganized and don’t communicate, or they completely ignore requests and shove people wherever they choose. You’ll have no say in the matter.
New owner, hopefully he will provide better customer service than is available presently. I was going to spend a couple of months here, but after being treated like I don’t matter, I will take my business elsewhere. Much better and friendlier places to stay in the area.

Right on the water out by the jetty and boat ramp, so if you want to fish, this is your place. The park itself is pretty spacious, dirt lot. Nice owners, looks like they are working on the place, but it's basically a place to park and use as a home base for all of the Rogue River activities. Some great beaches and hikes nearby.

We stayed here while we were here for work up until a few days ago when we Thankfully were able to leave. It is a Filthy, dusty, windy parking lot style park and to my shock, there is not one sign or notice posted about Covid-19, no staff or guests wearing masks indoors or in large gatherings, children are unsupervised and allowed to run the entire property including other guest's sites, public use buildings, and roads, also unmasked and usually in groups screaming and raising hell. Everyone from staff to guests are socializing and taking no precautions what so ever. There are only 30 amp hookups and they pack it in bumper to bumper with no distancing, even if there is room to equally space. The Wifi doesn't work, barely any phone signal with Verizon or Spectrum, and the bathrooms/showers/laundry rooms are Filthy! Loose dogs often wandering or running about, people speeding in and out, a very dirty, dusty, unpleasant and Risky place to visit. We will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Daily rate price reflects one free night for a 7-night booking. Classic Southern Oregon Coast experience. Quiet and peaceful. Site located along the airfield fence in the back. Footpath to the beach nearby. Great views if you like sweet grass meadows, digger squirrels, birdwatching, and lovely private aircraft occasionally fueling up across the way. The managing staff were very friendly and helpful. There are other slightly higher-priced sites up front with river and ocean views. Fisherman's delight. Hope to return after the season when this site is open again, apparently it is very popular. The booking site is a little maddening as most of the sites' "max length" requirements are for smaller trailers, but folks bring in their big land yachts and boats and are well-accommodated. Love this place!

Despite previous reviews we loved our stay here. Campspot placed me into a spot that was way to short based on my length (close to 48’ total). They were very accommodating and moved us into a larger space that was able to accommodate us with pull through plus space for our second car we were traveling with. I saw a review about a dusty, windy parking lot. You would complain if it wasn’t flat and in case you didn’t notice you’re on the beach, wind is a side effect. The hosts were very helpful and offered great suggestions on things to see and places to go. As long as you arrived in daylight hours they always had somebody to show you to your spot.
