This was a lay over stop so it served that purpose.
The Pros:
* This campground had lots to offer in the way of campsites, cabins, tenting options. So much to do for the kiddos if you have any!
* A large staff and they were all super helpful and friendly;
* It was close to major attractions (Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, etc.);
* They offer a morning breakfast (for a fee) that was tasty!

The Cons:
* Right next to Hwy 16 so the road noise was noticeable;
* the campground is built on a hill so while the sites are mostly level, getting into the sites can be a challenge;
* The sites are extremely close to each other;
* very expensive but it is the peak tourist season.

This campground is painless to navigate. The cost was $25 with $5 on line reservation fee. It was easy to get to from I40 and the campground is paved in a figure 8 shape. All sites are paved but not all the pull-throughs and there are non-electric, 30A or 50A sites, with drinkable water. The dump is on the way out of the park, along with the trash disposal.

Campground has bathrooms and showers and looked clean and was reported to have hot water (we didn't use them).

There are no lights at the campground other than by the bathrooms which makes for nice night sky viewing. You can see I-40 from the campground in the distance but could not hear it.

The ranger station had nice exhibits about the ruins. The rangers were very friendly and gave us information about Winslow activities and Winslow is close enough for supplies. Nice proximity to Petrified Forest National Park.

The campground was easy to access from I94 but we couldn't hear traffic from I94. We used this park as a way to explore the entire Theodore Roosevelt National Park so it served our needs:
* Easy to get to the park;
* It was very close to WalMart;
* The staff and owner were extremely friendly and so accommodating with receiving an Amazon order, sending mail out, washing the RV, helping out with needed lumber for a project, etc.;
* Like many private campgrounds, the utility posts are shared so campers park in alternating directions, meaning that your seating area outside is also shared with the adjacent camper. Privacy of course is minimal but we were seldom around so this was not an issue;
* Utilities worked great (sites are full hook up);
* The bathhouse was very clean and well-maintained;
* We didn't use the laundry but it also looked clean;
* The park has several sections including areas with mobile homes and long-term RV parking, but those areas were segregated from the space for the traveling RVers;
* The entire park was clean and felt completely safe and family-friendly;
* Since the park is located within Dickinson there was blazing fast internet access.

This is a good spot to stay to access activities in the area. We went to La Posado Hotel, Homolovi 1, 2, 3 and 4 Archaeological Site ruins and drove to Petrified Forest National Park and lots of local Winslow, AZ Route 66 sites.

PROS
* super easy to access off I40;
* The Park Rangers and Camp Hosts are super nice and welcoming;
* The showers are 'old' but they were clean and plenty of hot water;
* The sites are fairly spread out with picnic table, charcoal grills and at least one shade tree per site;
* Very quiet at night!
* Can walk and/or ride bicycle to Homolovi Archaeological Site 1 and 2 from the campground;
* Visitor Center was nice and several trail heads originate from VC;
* the town of Winslow only 4-6 miles from the campground. Has Walmart and lots of other stores/services.

CONS
* the roads need some TCL, cracks up to 1/2 wide made the bicycling 'interesting';
* Verizon had 4 bars but the download and upload speeds were not good. AT&T had 3 bars but the download and upload speeds were good.

We really, really enjoyed the Green Mountain Reseroir area, Kremmling and Silverthorne!

PROs:
* Site 11 was away from sites which was nice;
* Senior pass gave us 1/2 price for site ($8 booking fee throuugh RECREATION.GOV);
* Trash dumpsters, picnic table and fire pit;
* Views are really good from this site;
* AT&T worked ok in the mornings and evenings, no Verizon service;
* Kremmeling is 10 miles north, a cute small town. Groceries, restaurants and a GREAT coffee shop. We even left dollars at the Meat Market!
* Exploring the dam and Heeney area was cool!
* Spent couple of days south in Silverthorne (26 miles) and found an awesome restaurant for breakfast called Mountain Lyon - best breakfast ever!
* Drove the Williams Pass dirt road drive (couple miles from Willows CG on US 9), that was an adventure!

CONs:
* Site 11 and many over sites were EXTREMELY unlevel, we had to use every block and lumber we brought with us to get close to level.

We did 2 nights in Loop D, which is out in the open and no trees. This works well for our solar setup! We then spent our 3rd night in Loop B, more trees and pretty site (site 34);

PROs:
* The views and environment is what you pay for here - absolutely stunning! Deer wandering through the campsites was fabulous;
* Bathrooms are super clean as is the rest of this large campground;
* Because this campground is inside Rocky Mtn National Park, no additional fees. We do have the lifetime senior interagency pass which allowed us into the NP initially with no cost.
* Three different trail heads right out of this campground, the one to Sprague Lake was fabulous!
* Rangers super nice and helpful but because of staffing shortages this summer, no presentations at the outside auditorium;
* There is a dump and fresh water site by the ranger station check in so we were able to take care of business on the way out;
* If you need anything, the town Estes Park is approx 10 miles from the campground. But the crowds of people are large and the wait in line to get back into the NP is long;
* We were able to stream using our AT&T unlimited Mobley unit.

CONs:
* This is a large campground with lots of noise from campers and there are generator hours;

We stayed through the Christmas holiday and this park is associated with Mission Bell RV Resort. Mostly long term people but certainly has availability for those of us moving through.

PROs:
* Super friendly and helpful staff, from the camp hosts to the folks in the office;
* Full hooks up on grass but cement pad to set up patio or park your extra car;
* You are right in the middle of the city so plenty of opportunities for grocery markets or jumping on the major highways/Interstate to get to points of interest;
* I was comfortable in riding the bike or walking within the park or Mission Bell right across the street;
* Both locations have a lot of activities during the day and evening for those who want to hang around. Pool, scuffle board, big dance building, etc.

CONs:
* If you are sensitive to highway noise, the park is right next to business route 83 so there is traffic noise all the time;
* can be tricky getting into your site although the staff will help get you rig parked.

We just retired and became full timers and needed to set up our domicile in Florida. This park helped us to that end and was certainly cost effective for full hook ups.

PROs
* SmartWeigh is available to schedule (weighing each tire base on the rig) so a big plus to get that accomplished!
* Very cost effective park to stay at for a month - paid the electric separate;
* many large old shade trees at many of the sites which really helped us during the hot October on record!
* There are many folks who 'lease' their sites so that results in a sense of community at this park;
* Wonderful lending library, a full room of books made available which we took advantage of;
* Sites are close to a cypress swamp which afforded us to lots of animal life (river otters, birds of prey, egrets, ibis' - no sightings of any alligators);
* super friendly staff;
* close to biking/walking trail (Withalachoee) which was approximately 46 miles long;
* close to Fort Cooper for bird walks on their nature trails;
* close to town of Bushnell which has most everything needed
* wonderful laundry facilities that are very cost effective!
* availability of propane fill on site;
* property next to the park is owned by a person to gives refuge to homeless donkeys (herd of 11) that are super friendly and love apples and carrots.

CONS
* the interior roads have lots of pot holes;
* close to a mining operation so there is truck activity early in the morning (starting at 5 a.m.) that can be heard if parked close to County Road 673.

We stayed from 9/30/19 - 10/5/19 and we have nothing to note as a con for this State Park. We loved our large site for our large rig, plenty of elbow room in the loop we were in (loop 2).
* easy access from I75;
* wonderful showers as they were clean and plenty of hot water;
* the staff were super friendly;
* washer and driers available;
* plenty of biking and walking paths available;
* We loved exploring the 'on site' Stephen Foster museum, gift shops and the Carillon Tower;
* good connectivity.

The park was easy to find, easy check in with knowledgable state staff and both loops had many sites that were overall level, well spaced from each other and situated around a 375 acre lake. Picnic shelters, swimming beach and fishing docks abundant.
PROs:
* The level site included two large oaks that provided good shade during the high heat temperatures;
* Quiet park at night;
* Playgrounds, fishing docks and the lake provided recreation for boaters and fishing;
* EXCELLENT hiking trails are part of this park's appeal;
* lots of area to bike an abundance of wildlife and plantlife;
* Didn't use the laundry facilities but the room was clean and numerous machines.
* Closest town was approximately 5 miles (Adel).

CONs:
* the showers were older and lacking good privacy. However, they were clean.
