This is an awesome hiking place. Trails from easy to hard! Bring water and be sure you know your tolerance for heat. There is a bathroom facility at the trailhead with drinking fountains.

Easy to find. Bring your own glass or bottle. This water smells bad and tastes bad. But you kind of have to try it, don't you? Great for a quick stop, or photo op. Water did not kill us or make us ill, but we didn't chug it since it was so unpallatable.

Just a nice quick photo op. Interesting to look at. You can see it from the outside of the building or go in. There are more than one level so you can see it from above or from below.

You have GOT to go here. It's like a natural water park. Dozens of small pools with small waterfalls between them. We went on a day where it was very busy, had to park "off site" where someone was charging $10 to use their business parking lot. Parking on road is forbidden! So I'd advise getting here early. Two port-a-potty outhouses is all there is to change in when we went. There was a bathroom structure but it was barred off. There is a short hike to the actual attraction, very level and easy to walk, when we go there despite how busy it was there was ample room to explore and many times we had a "pool" all to ourselves. It was simply an amazing natural wonder to see and experience. Water was cold in June when we went, but most people were enjoying the water, or sunbathing on a rock. Many places to do that too. I bet this is even more packed in August!

This was one of the most expensive things we did on our New England trip. It was fun to do, not thrilling exactly - but interesting and the views at the top of the mountain were fantastic.

The day we went, Father's day 2018 was clear. we could see all the way down to the valley. I am told that is not the norm. Usually, you are above the clouds is what we heard.

You get some time to look around before they take you back down. Ride up takes longer than the ride down it seemed like. At the base station there is a large store to browse while you wait, and at the top too - besides the scenery there are shops and buildings to visit. You can hike up the mountain and ride down... just be aware the hike will take you all day! Go to their website to get the details. We did see lots of people hiking and some with younger kids so I think it's probabably doable if you have the time.

YES YES YES! You have to do this! When we went in mid June 2018 the water was a chilly 45 degrees, but a once in a lifetime experience for sure. Water is clear and gorgeous. I did the smaller 15 foot jump and it doesn't look daunting until you are standing up there. Water is SUPER deep where you jump in. First time I didn't even touch bottom, second time I tried to touch the bottom and I just barely got it with my toe. I'd estimate 15 feet deep. I'd recommend bug spray, my legs got bit up on the way back to the parking lot through a beautiful wooded area with a path. There is a higher 30 foot jump for those more daring, and we found a small 2 foot area for our youngest to jump in to feel like he got to experience it too!

Two kinds of tours, one with a "character" and one is just the regular tour. Take the "character" tour - especially if you have kids. We got Twain's daughter Susie as our guide and I felt like I gained a new perspective. She only "broke" character at the end and was so helpful with all our questions! It was also nice because it was a private tour with JUST our family. You might not be that lucky if it's really busy... but if you go at a non peak time you should be fine.

This was really pretty! Lots of people there, but not many climbing down the rocks to the ocean. We did though. Was fun for our 7 and 14 year olds. We stayed here a couple hours climbing around. We went specifically at low tides to see tidal pools, but I was disappointed at the lack of sea life we saw. Oregon has much more diverse and "alive" tidepools than here.... but this is still definitely worth a stop. Parking can be a bit tricky at peak times. may have to park a ways away and walk.

We went in June 2017 on a misty overcast morning. temps hovering in the upper 50's. It was nice because NO ONE was there! We had the beaches all to ourselves. Beautiful!
