Found this gem North of US 30 just east of Ft Wayne. 6 sites on gravel/grass with 50 amp hookups and shared water hydrants. They have a shower house and bathrooms, but not sure of conditions. I believe there is a dump station. Caretaker lives on property. Tracks nearby, only heard three trains in twelve hours. Shelter house and picnic tables. There is an observatory (not open all the time) and an RC airplane airport that gets used a lot. Neat to see. Great stopping point on 30. Quiet and good stargazing.

It’s a mix of seasonal campers and open campground. It is in the middle of farm country and very quiet and serene. I called to make reservations, they took my name, phone number, and camper information. She said they would have openings and would take care of me when I arrived. They do not have a credit card machine…so only cash or local check. I’m glad I called so I could take enough cash.
When we arrived they registered me quickly and took me to my site #97. It is very shaded on a pond and next to a seasonal camper that wasn’t there while we were.
Really great place. The swimming pond looks awesome and is open daily 12-5. They have some grocery and other needs like ice in the office.
Campground is really large and well maintained. Some sites, like ours has no pad, others are gravel.

Great provincial campground alongside a lake. 34km east of Vanderhoof, BC. 16 sites in all with a great big log picnic table and fire pit. Most had fire wood. Two outhouses and a boat ramp complete the picture. Access is North from 16 about 6km on a washboard gravel road called Finmore Rd. The right about 500 meters on Cobb Lake road that has quite a few deep pothole. Go slow.

This place is awesome. It does get a little buggy in the nighttime. Plenty of shade and room on each site. Pads are gravel and very flat. Check in is at the host camper. Easy to drive through and not very busy during the week. Very quiet and serene.

Nice paved well lit and well marked RV parking lot out front. A little road noise from I-84, but quieter than most casinos. Very safe. Nice area for dog walks.

Right off the highway on a lake. Pit toilets. Treed campsites. Pretty close together. Free firewood. Muddy in wet weather. Trains and highway noise.

Great stop along the Missouri just south of Townsend. You have to pull off to the side and stay on the gravel loop. Some sites lean away from the road and may be tight for longer trailers and motor homes. Vault toilets are clean. Shade is extremely limited. Mosquitoes are horrible after sunset. Trains blow horns all night long. There is a logging road up next to camp and trucks use it at all hours. None of our remotes worked at this site! Must be logging truck radios. Our truck remote and our camper stabilizers remotes both did not work here. But worked at our next spot.

We stayed here on the way home from Juneau. It’s one of the few govt campgrounds open in the off season. Nothing is serviced and it is free. It was empty, but clean. Great campground. Quiet. No cell coverage of any kind.

Next to a museum. Level gravel pads in grass with picnic table, fire ring and vault toilets. Well manicured and next to a museum. No where to self register when museum is closed. Road and train noise at nights.
