We were there to stage for entry for entry to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in 2023. It was really a nice place, well maintained, lots of space between sites, pull-through and back in(what we had), FREE DOG WASH that was perfect because we've been traveling (The Grand Circle) and the dog really did need a bath, grass between some of the sites. Husband had dinner/beers in one of the restaurants in the casino and enjoyed it.

Will stay there again.

No tables but there is a bath house. Dirt sites, full hookups, just an overnight place right off the I-40.
Asked if we could let our dog run to chase balls and that was OK!
Didn't use the bath house.

Well off the beaten path, this place only has 10 or so sites. Everyone has access and clear view to the bay, beach. At night it is so very dark, the stars and moon light everywhere.
It is well maintained but we’re self contained, so didn’t use the bath house.
There seems to be another area, wooded, for tenting.
Clam digging is popular here and I participated in ‘beach’ walking in the bay when the tide was out.
Mosquitoes are here, especially in the calm of darkness. Nothing unusual about that.
Didn’t kayak, combination of wind and tides never were right. The full moon was incredible.
Very friendly owners/staff and we were able to use this cg as a mail-stop prior to going into Canada.
Our T-Mobile WiFi-router is offering us great service for streaming.

We have family and friends in the area and have stayed south of Charlotte in every campground available. This is the best place. No alcohol but it was there. Sadly, it looks like there are fulltime families living there in a few sites, tenting or in trailers. We were there before the time restriction required moving out of the campground for a night in order to stay longer than 14 days. There is a lot of traffic since it's on the lake and there's a boat ramp. Restrooms and showers were clean. The best thing is there are no sites that have sheds or ugly landscaping since it's a county park. Felt very safe and it was easy to launch our kayaks. It is remote. About 25 miles from South Charlotte.

It accommodated our group of 30 trailers. No tables and weird curbing, close to the casino.

Don't even stop.

I spoke to the front desk about a month ago and reconfirmed yesterday. Was told there are 9 sites, 1st come, no reservations, and are usually good during the week with weekends being full.

Stopped in at 3pm....seems only 5 are 'full' hookups, so we slid in next to #5. Power didn't work, so that's why the guy there was only using 120 cord.

The photo on this site must be pretty old because the lot is gravel and uneven, rutted and not well kept.

We have had good success at casinos in the past, so we'll try again but not at this one.

We would never pass by this wonderful campground. We’ve stayed here several times over the past 15 years. Dog friendly, on the Mighty Mississippi River. Easy in/out and we found this place while traveling to Memphis for our Beale Street Blues fixes. Easy in/out of Memphis, too.
