Lovely new rv park, well appointed, kind people who really care about their property. Texas hill country views are spectacular! Definitely coming back!
Do note when coming in from the San Antonio area (East to west) the GPS will try to take you on Texas Rd 3268… that would be a hard no! There is a sharp curve that anyone bigger than about 25’ should not attempt. Fortunately there is plenty of warning and a turn around area prior.

Great place to camp. Would definitely stay again. My AT&T service worked perfectly. Stayed mid January for 6 nights, chilly but lovely. Great trails and super clean everything. GPS likes to take you in the back side of the park, which can be closed… best to follow the clearly marked roads leaving old town Newnan. If your a large rig it can feel a bit narly to drive in, but again road is clearly marked and well maintained. Would definitely come back!

Wonderful little county park campground, right on the Erie Canal. Clean bathrooms and a tidy little laundry room. Had a full hook-up pull thru site, super easy with plenty of space. Close to the small town for some basics if you need them. Up the road a bit is a Little Falls if you need more than the basics. Close to the Canal Trail, just over the bridge. If you follow the trail east about .75 of a mile you will find the historic Lock #33, definitely a neat bit of history. As others have mentioned, you are RIGHT next to an active train line, if you are a light sleeper this might be bothersome, but for us a non issue.
Note: If you make it to Little Falls, try the Rock Valley brewery, fun spot w/ a great vibe. Also take the Canal trail here as well, find Lock #17. This is a working Lock and is the tallest one in the system, pretty amazing bit of engineering.
