Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 24, 2023Lovely new rv park, well appointed, kind people who really care about their property. Texas hill country views are spectacular! Definitely coming back!
Do note when coming in from the San Antonio area (East to west) the GPS will try to take you on Texas Rd 3268… that would be a hard no! There is a sharp curve that anyone bigger than about 25’ should not attempt. Fortunately there is plenty of warning and a turn around area prior.

We stayed here for two months after only planning on one month. It's a new park that still has some kinks to work out, but the setting is beautiful and the amenities are nice. Just south of Bee Cave, you have everything you need within 20-30 min. And there are plenty of hikes/vineyards/sights close by.
Issues: The landscaping and grass between the pads is thin and immature. They watered way too much, especially for winter, and that created many mud puddles right outside your door and soft turf that got tore up by vehicles. As we were there they kept adding gravel around corners and edges of pads, which are a bit too small for our 39' fifth wheel, but we managed. Probably should've waited to open until the turf was mature.
Also, the Wi-Fi was spotty. There was a mess of hard-wires lying around the campground for people who worked from home. They supposedly added some "boosters" while we were there but we didn't notice much difference.
Once they work out these issues, it'll be 5-stars.

This is a beautiful park that I'll never, ever return to.
Have you ever been somewhere that things just felt "off". Like there's something wrong, but you just can't put your finger on it right away? I had that feeling as soon as we arrived here for a month.
The site we were told was "premium" and a nice roomy site turned out to be 5 feet from another camper outside the door, with the utilities on the wrong side of the site, right outside our front door. The site wasn't even located where it was shown on the map. It had loud landscaping construction out the back door for the entire month. And the dumpsters for the park had been conveniently relocated right behind our site.
Any of this could have been communicated before we got there. When we travel, we choose parks based on sites so we can have the quiet and privacy we need for work. And needless to say, we only found out about all of this once we traveled 1300 miles to get here and they already had our money.
What makes it worse though is the management and ownership of Buddy's. Not only did all of this happen, we were downright ignored in all of our attempts to rectify things, by everyone except for one employee who did her best. The owner, who lives on site, wouldn't even make eye contact with us until we started asking for our money back. And all throughout the month, she was verbally berating employees in public within earshot of us and anyone else who could hear, and gossiping about other employees behind their backs. The manager, it turned out, was even worse, and started gossiping about US to other clients.
By the time we left, my wife was in tears every day over how terrible it felt to even be there. And I, who am generally pretty unflappable, was so mad I was shaking.
And once we left and moved to a different place, we realized that this place has a reputation already amongst the long term RV community in the area. No one wants to be here because of how toxic the people are, and no matter how nice the park is, they leave and go somewhere that they're treated like human beings and not just dollar signs.
Needless to say, we won't be back. The most miserable month we've ever spent in our RV.
