There is an island across from the RV area that has many walking trails as well as tent camping. We loved walking there multiple times a day. The office even has kayaks for rent. Oh, and they had a free waffle breakfast one morning during our stay.
Loved the people and the location! Great option in the Texas Hill Country.

I'm glad we found this park. We will definitely be coming back. The sites aren't paved but they are nice. You can hang out in the Guadalupe river. There is a constant breeze at our site.

We loved it here. So did our dogs. The river is so beautiful and fun to walk amongst. It’s very peaceful to listen to the sound of the rushing water. Site was level and we had no hiccups.

Nice place. Beautiful river. Great places to walk and enjoy the river. Quiet. My only complaint is the sites not on the river are tight. If we had come in after dark we would have never been able to park. As it was we were having to have neighbors move cars and go in the wrong way. You are too close to the other camper to sit outside or extend your awning.

Wifi: Verizon - 2 down, 1.1 up, ATT - 60 down, 20 up........By the River RV Park is an ideal location for those who love being outdoors, and those who have dogs. It’s got amazing AT&T speeds for the rest of us who need to be connected. Of all the places we have stayed, this is the best of both worlds. The spots are literally steps from a large stream, and there are birds galore. The park has two sets of fulltimers (from what we could tell): a pair of large, white ducks that were very vocal, and a bonded pair of black and white ducks. Every day I would see them hanging out right outside our RV, having the time of their lives. Despite there not being leaves on the trees, we had a bit of shade. There is a large island connected to the RV park with a few tent campsites. It’s perfect for people to unleash their dogs and let them run around and have fun. And almost everyone here has dogs. We were here a month and never had any bad encounters with them - they were all very well behaved. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk away on top of the hill, so if you have any mobility issues you’ll want to make sure you’re self contained. The park also hosts events like pottery night, poker, waffle breakfast and a potluck. The laundry room is only open when the office is, so be sure to get your wash started by 3pm! There was also a line for laundry on weekends so taking care of it during the week will help ensure you can get it done when you’d like. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful, and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and calm. Great park next to the Guadalupe River with lots of walking for people and dogs. We stayed a week while visiting family that lives in Kerrville. Sites were grass/dirt but were level. We drove about 10 minutes into Ingram and visited Stonehenge II.

Very friendly place, even got invited to the longer term resident potluck. Lots to see in surrounding area. Good site for bird watching.
Improvements - stronger Wi-fi, install bathrooms on lower loop for campers w/o on board facilities.

Called in the morning and they were able to accommodate us. 38' Class A towing a 10' trailer. Arrival was easy. We have a beautiful view of the river out our front window. and the site was decent size with picnic table. However, our site was beside the dump station and the dumpsters. It was fine as it was winter, cool temperatures and not a lot of RV's here. I wouldn't want to stay on this site in the summer, but would stay at the campground.
