A nice park and very friendly young lady at the office, however it's very crowded and our picnic table was too close to the sewer connection of our neighbor. We tried to walk in the orchard as they advertise but could never find a gate. Lots of tent campers also and they have a nice green area but again packed in with almost no space between them. Only stayed one night because we had a different destination. So for just one night it was fine.

Arrived drove around, found my site found several faucets. All of them say no drinking water went to the camp post she informed us that it’s been off all season and then we have to go back into town to the Lakeside general store and the lady there is kind enough to allow you to fill up your tank at no charge BLM. Please update your website. I’ve been informed that this waters been off all season.

A fantastic place to rest and relax and to use as home base for exploring the area. Junction is a very small town and this RV Park is also very small. Make reservations if you can. The hosts are very friendly and work very hard to keep the grass green and the property clean! It's quiet and peaceful. I recommend it for a place to recharge and get ready for your next adventure. Great wifi, water pressure, 30/50 amp available and laundry. Sewer hook up too! Lovely huge cotton wood trees provide shade to all the sites.

So we stayed at this location mostly to test out our boondocking capabilities! Filled our water/propane/gas generator cans and away we went down the dirt road to Indian Bread Rocks. You pass through about 2-3 cattle guards until the last one which is very narrow!!! Much more so than the rest, be careful getting through this one. You can immediately see the sign and the picnic area and the pit commode area. Turn slightly right and you have several turn outs with fire pits to stay at if you don't wish to go any further. We stayed at the second turn out as we are in a 41 foot 5th wheel and felt we had come to the end of the road for being safe and also for turning around to get out!!! No neighbors for a few hours which was nice. A nice cool wind was blowing most of the time (too windy to put our awning out). A friendly farmer said we probably should not burn a fire which we had not planned on doing as everything is so dry. We had a nice time here exploring the rocks, husband took a bike ride deeper into the land and found several other campers in smaller units that were camped in more secluded areas but said we were smart to stop where we did! The picnic area has wonderful shade trees, picnic tables and close to the commode area. We would come back again but not any later in the year as it was getting warm during the day (cools off at night). A small (6) herd of cattle walk around and we saw lizards, birds and that's about all. Price is right and seclusion was great! Good phone service!

Others have written about the history and it's true, very interesting! At first the "parking lot" style of parking was off putting, but you do back up to your grassy area with fire pit, BBQ grill, Covered picnic table on a cement slab and trees behind all of that. So it's not so bad, nothing separating you from the neighbors but it's a chance to talk to people more! Some noise from the highway but not bad. Park rangers and volunteers are wonderful! We would stay here again and it's a great set up if you travel with friends and can all park together!

Close to the North Rim with full hook up! Sites in the middle of the park are close so try and get one at the end of a row. Folks working here (camp hosts) were so friendly and nice, would stop to chat, give advise or information about the area. They work hard to keep the area clean. The tent areas are nice some in a meadow and some under large pine trees. Didn't use the bathrooms but the laundry room was good and change is in the office for you. Just outside of the park through a gate is a large area where you can let your dogs off leash so they can run and play, that's great for our large dogs! We stayed in a trailer, 37' and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

space #1, easy pull in and out for our 37 ' rig. We were parked right next to a huge rock wall which had petroglyphs on it. A really good picnic table and fire pit. We really liked our site. Wish we could have stayed a day or two more. Water and electric and sewer included.
The museum was very cool and had so much information about the area it was really nice. The only cell service was in the parking lot of the museum but that was not that important to us. The history here was fascinating . Campground was clean, did not use the restrooms but the building was large and looked to be in really good shape. Lots of trails to walk and history to learn. Beautiful Clear Creek runs through this state park. We never saw any wildlife except lizards!
You will hear a little bit of freeway noise but not enough to bother you.
Across the freeway is another camp ground that we drove through called Castle Rock and they have water but no electric but you are really in a cool canyon with trees, creek and most sites had pretty good privacy. Not too many to fit our rig but smaller trailers or tents.

It's no fault of the campground that it was very hot and dry, no rain for a long time, the lake is VERY low so shoreline was muddy. Not very inviting to swim. Campground is asphalt and small rock between sites. A few large cottonwood trees for shade but with it being so hot we didn't feel like going outside much. The camp was clean with very little trash seen. Grass is crunchy. It's quiet at night and stars were bright. Easy to pull in and out, dump station available which was good because our sewer connection was an odd ball size and we could not use the hook up, water pressure and electric were both good. Since it was about a 40 minute drive off of I70 we would probably not return here unless Utah gets some rain so the lake fills back up.

our story: we pulled in and our site was filthy, garbage can was in the fire pit, the ground was totally uneven and dirt only. on the ground was a pot pipe, smashed cans and plastic lids everywhere! just plain trashy. we saw folks driving through with babies on their laps, a women applying deodorant in the parking lot. in general a pretty sketchy place, we are not prudes but this place was not for us! we were not comfortable at all. we wanted to drive over to the ocean but we were afraid to leave our camper (our home). I can only say if you don't care about your things (this is an assumption as we didn't have anything taken in the 2 hours we were there ) then go ahead and stay here. If you do care, I would not spend the night, we moved on and found another RV park about 10 minutes away that is family friendly and clean and has a feeling of security and peace.
