Convenient stop to break up an otherwise long leg.
Had looked forward to the cafe and some blue bell ice cream but it was closed on the one day we were passing through.
Nice long pull through sites so no need to disconnect our tow!

Always a nice visit. People are pleasant. Battlefield guides are informative. Facilities are mega-clean.
So much rich history preserved and propagated here!

My partner thought I was yolking about this stop and tried eggnoring me, but we scrambled to get out here and it was eggsactly what it was cracked up to be! I was able to poach a few eggcellent pics.
(Sorry about the puns, omeletting myself have a little fun!)

What a great spot! Easy side road parking right across the street (so cars don’t ruin your photos). Well-kept area with great graphics detailing and how and why of the egg.

A great Czech-in! (Sorry, last one).

Chose this campground just as a one-night stopover and it was a nice enough place.
Smooth check in.
Wouldn’t recommend it if you have dogs. This was the first campground that had a dog-walk/park area that you couldn’t walk the pups to, you had to transport (ie drive) them to it. Kind of frustrating to do an 8-hour drive and then have to disconnect our towed vehicle just to drive the dogs to the park to expend their energy.
Didn’t see any WiFi info posted and no networks came up in the scan so that was a bit of a bummer (for travelers who are working and not purely vacationing).
Had to maneuver our way out with some 5-point turns and delayed tow vehicle hook up because of cars parked in the gravel road (vice in the space behind their rig).
Pretty frustrating experience overall but perhaps just because of the “amenities” we need when we travel.

What a powerful and somber memorial. Gut-wrenching to listen to the phone calls made by the pax and crew from the plane to their loved ones. Well-oriented memorial with the walkway aligned along the flight path.

This place has consistently held its status as “Britain’s Smallest Pub.” Over the years, they could have obnoxiously capitalized on that moniker, but they’ve humbly kept their nuts in a shell.
The global currency plastering the Walls speaks to the volumes of visitors from around the world who have put away a pint (or more) in the Nutshell.
A must-drink if you’re in the area!
