Confirmed by 7 users | Last reported on February 18, 2023This is an old KOA and in many respects looks it. The oil exploration industry in this area has exploded and this RV Park has expanded and then expanded again. They have added many sites for the transient oil and pipeline workers.
The original park seems to have suffered during this expansion.
Travelers are put in the old KOA so there will be some grass and trees. The roads in the parks are pot holed and narrow, the sites are close but there is a picnic table and a bit of grass. Utilities are conveniently placed. The park is clean but looks rather ragged and unkempt. Not dirty or trashy, just not daily maintained to a high standard. This has become a big park requiring a lot of work on a daily basis. I don't see it.
There are bathrooms both at the office and in a free standing building out on the grounds. The bathrooms appeared clean. The bathroom/showers on the grounds were usable but a few loose and broken items needed replacement and/or repair. They were clean enough to be comfortable.
The laundry was adequate but some equipment was out of service.
Wi-Fi was good and consistent during the day, cable was also good.
This is not a bad park, just not a good park at this time.
Oh, and yes, there is a restaurant and I'm told it is good, but this isn't necessarily a reason to stop at anything but the restaurant.
Got to go to the cafe. Great Catfish and chicken fried steak!!
We stayed here on our way to Davis Mountain state park. Staff was super friendly and had everything when we showed up and led us to our site. The park has a pool, a nice large dog park and a Cafe on-site that is open for dinner and breakfast. We will stay here again and recommend to friends traveling through.

Roads are gravel but in good condition. Site was level. Laundry room was ok. $1.50 per washer, $2.00 for dryer. Roadrunner cafe was good. Office staff do not wear masks and signs state “wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable “. Long term residents are located in a separate area from travelers. Location, cafe, and price make this a decent one night stop.

Well kept park with friendly staff. Had a good sized dog run to let the dogs off leash.

Nice park. Clean. Needs some care but no complaints. Seems like use to be a KOA since on KOA road 🙂. Even though you can see 10 from grounds, we slept great, did not hear any I-10 noise. Space between RV’s was great! Even some grass out front of space. They really need a park sign somewhere on 10. Would have driven past if not actually looking for this exact RV park. Also has on site diner for breakfast and dinner. We did not use diner, but sometimes nice to have so close.

This park was listed as Passport America, but they no longer do this discount. It is well away from I 10, so no road noise. Very nice, older park with very large sites with grass. They have a concrete patio with picnic tables. It's about 5 miles out of Fort Stockton. Great wifi which is something most parks don't have. The dog park is awesome, with plenty of room to run.

Most of the issues are not in their control. Massive windstorms all night with gusts up to 45mph. Shook the 5 th wheel all night and blew up dust into everything. Cable was good. Check in was efficient. Site was pretty level. PS I hate the unnecessary speed bumps.

This is another regular stop for us. Update: The park is still in very good shape, with gravel roads and gravel FHU sites with WiFi, cable and picnic tables. They offer a Good Sam discount. Our site was level and plenty long - if we’d wanted, we could have left our truck hooked up to the 5th wheel. Restrooms and showers are private. There is a pool and dog yard. There’s also a cafe that serves tasty home cooking, reasonably priced meals. Our portable Dish worked fine; we used it instead of the cable because we wanted a show not on their cable, but we tested the cable and it worked well too. Both Verizon and ATT signals worked. We’ll continue to use this park.

First time at this RV park, I usually stay in Van Horn when coming east. Was able to do a couple more hours which landed me here. Love that they have a cafe with really good food. Makes a long day of driving worth it not to cook. So yeah, I loved that. The sites were fine and the dog park is a pretty good size.
