Really well done museum. Started in the children’s wing and the “Time Machine” gives good history recaps to provide context for the follow-on event of 1955.
Neat monument to visit just off the main path! Preserving an important Steelers catch!
And anything with a pun is a touchdown for me!
Somber tribute to our LEOs and truly appreciated the “last call” post.
Worth the trek to see him! Especially enjoyed overhearing this conversation with a Mom and her 4 young kids:
“MOMMY! Look at the naked man!”
“Yes dear, we all see him.”
“I can see his penis.”
“I know, honey.”
“Is that Daddy?”
“No honey”
Temporary 3-star while the government and contractor figure out who owes whom money …
Sad to see the under-construction visitor’s center at a standstill. Temporary conex is a nice small-scale substitute.

A gorgeous display of Paducah’s history painted on a significant canvas.
Convenient location and nice level spots. Friendly staff and constant landscaping and sweeping of the roads.
Loved the dog wash station at one of the dog runs.
Some of the “more permanent” visitors had quite a collection of belongings, to include discarded chicken bones in the spot next to the dog run (our dog got a hold of the chicken bones through the fence—caught it in time fortunately). Other than that distraction, we had a nice stay.
What a fascinating stop! Bizarre? Yes. Unexpected? Very much so. Worth it? Absolutely!
Beep beep!
Spacious park with a nice long pull through pad. Turning out of our site was a little challenging as a 90-degree turn was required (insufficient paved flare turn out). Had an over or under voltage on the 50 amp plug so stepped down our amperage to 30 (recommend a voltage/surge protector/detector).
