Hidden gem among farmland with a pretty small lake full of birds. There were only 2 other campers. Lots of room and we even fit with a 34’Class A and toad unhooked. No hookups. Quiet night.

Some reviews said it was smelly but on our stay on November 13, 2017 it wasn't. We parked at the beginning since we have a 35' diesel Class A and toad. Enjoyed nice weather and a beautiful sunset.

This was the quietest Walmart we've stayed at in our 6 mos of traveling. Very thankful for the generosity and friendliness. All the campers staying with us were also very courteous.

Love the location and large spaced out sites. Quiet! This area is an hour from Austin, San Antonio and Fredericksburg. The lake is gorgeous! Unfortunately, a lot of the campground flooded during Harvey and only one area is open. We have a Federal senior pass so got half off fee. Lots of area to walk and ride bikes. I got 4 bars of LTE on Verizon.

Giving this a 4 because it’s free electric and water for 1st two days and then $10 a day up to five days. Nice pull thru graveled sites with mature shade trees. A bit of highway noice but minimal at night. Next to transportation business so vehicles start work around 6 am but still not too bad since I had my fam running. We had 4 bars LTE for Verizon and ATT. Grateful for this free overnight stay.

Happy with this Park. Gave it 4 stars due to cost and location. Good value for the area and they are in the process of updating the park. An entire new section should be opening soon. Very short walk to pier and beach. The pier has a bar and grill that was pretty good. We had a view of dunes which helped protect from wind. Solid 4 bars of Verizon. Never checked out the restrooms/showers but there is a laundry. Enjoyed our stay.

We stopped to just check out the Fossil Falls and decided to stay. We have a class a 35 ft with a tow vehicle and we carefully made it down the road. So beautiful that we decided to stay the night before heading to Lone Pine. We stayed in site 4 which is large enough to turn around in without unhooking our vehicle. Got a bit windy and hi temp was 85 but it was tolerable and didn’t turn on AC. Fun and picturesque hiking. Beautiful clouds and sunset. We have a senior pass so only cost $3. We saw only hikers and one other camper on April 10, 2018. Great Verizon signal of 3 bars LTE and ATT 2 bars LTE.
