We got to Snow Canyon too late to get an RV spot. The campground staff described this location to us and we used it as dry camping overnight location. The site is not that level although the area farthest from the road found the most level location. The lot is well graveled and, we were told, will have local sellers during the daytime. There were excellent vistas to the south. The adjacent road traffic makes it a little noisy but having the traffic gives a level of comfort to know there are others nearby.

We stayed here 2 nights on our way down to Moab. As another reviewer said, the payment for the wifi was worth it. $2.45 for a 24 hour period that connected 3 devices. We were able to work and video conference call with no issues. Michelle, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The water was turned off at individual sites for the winter, but otherwise would have been a full hook up. They turned on the spigot for us to fill the tank. Not the most glamorous park aesthetically - just a gravel lot with individual sites and no grass - but it got the job done and there’s a beautiful cliff just opposite the street to look at. We did not use the common shower but saw the laundry room was clean and available for reasonable/average cost.

We stayed here just one night while passing through. A little tricky to find, no signage, you just have to trust the GPS and maybe call to clarify directions. Down a narrow gravel road and behind a junk yard, the lot isn’t much too speak of, but very friendly host and super affordable! Can accommodate big rigs (our class A is 36’), but only back-in sites so we had to detach our “toad.” Full hookups. No other amenities. Beautiful desert hills behind you. We went for a walk to the top of them and could see the CO Rockies in the distance.

We wanted to see lunar crater but didn’t think our 36’ class A would make it up the road, so we parked here for the night and went for a day drive up in our toad.

This rest area is truly in the middle of nowhere on the extraterrestrial 👽 highway, save a homestead just up the road. Views are fantastic, drive to get there is splendid nothingness mixed with thundering magnificence, sunset and sunrise were exquisite, star gazing was awesome and it was so, so quiet. Very few or no cars passing by at night.

The rest area has no bathrooms or water so you are dry camping, so we filled with some extra water before we left our previous park. But, it has picnic tables, grills, and garbage cans. We grilled and had a lovely evening.

Strangely, for being the middle of nowhere, we both had full bars on cell reception, though I was technically considered “extended network.”

When everything else in Moab is between $60-$100, it’s worth it to go a little further south! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - some of the best we’ve met. Laundry room is super clean and tidy, soap included, honor system for payment of $1.00 per load. They have a little take a book leave a book/watch a movie leave a movie shelf as well as some coloring books and crayons for kids. No guest bathrooms or showers.

The park rents little cabins and only has 6 RV spots. They are all pull through, full hook up. Definitely not level. Owner knows this and has provided leveling components at each site. Very difficult to get wifi in sites 3 or 4.

We stayed 3 nights and used the location as a great base camp for seeing awesome things in the area. The review about bad wifi is old - we were able to connect for work and even streamed a few times with no issues. Awesome canyon cliff views in the distance. They DO also have tent sites. Kinda seems like the park is under remodel or going through some changes, but that was okay with us. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.

We only stayed one night but it’s a great park. Very clean and well maintained. Laundry & showers were inside the same building with a little activity room and take a book/movie, leave one. Very warm and welcoming. Wifi was great - you could see the repeaters around the property - we were able to work (including a zoom call) and stream no problem.

Like many, this was a convenient stop along the way. We pulled in early in the day and it was empty but it FILLED UP by nightfall. Pull-through spots very close together. We had a back-in on the back side of the park, which butted up to the treeline and a little stream, which was nice. There’s a little path/bridge there leading to the small grocery store on the other side.

We had a similar experience with owner giving directions then coming up to the window and making comments about parking as someone else mentioned. I guess he knows his park and how rigs fit in, but it felt odd at the time. Honestly, I think just plain communication would have fixed it - he was telling me how to turn the wheel and aim the rig without telling me which spot I was actually aiming for. I heard the same thing happening with other guests as he helped them park. They are super friendly staff, and I don’t think he means any wrong, and like I said, probably just knows his park and how rigs will fit. Still, it’s a little funky.

Wifi worked, not enough to stream but good for emailing, etc. Shower was glorious.

Very small park - just 7 sites all in a row. Just the sites: no bathroom, facilities, wifi, or even host. Payment is left in a box with envelopes. Great rate for full hookups. We got the last spot available - seemed like the rest were all residents?

What an awesome place! A lot of times, great, established campgrounds this beautiful are reserved for tent campers and RVs can go there as dry campers only. Not here! They have one full campground reserved for RVs with full hookups. But it’s not an RV park, it’s a campground. Say goodbye to gravel parking lots and hello to beautifully secluded sites surrounded by desert trees and mountains in the distance. Plus you get the location benefits of the parks and hiking and masterfull viewing.

Cost for a night was $30 for out of state plates, and then we had to pay $14 in vehicle fees. Because we have a class A, we had to pay vehicle fee for that and then also for our “toad.” Kind of a bummer because trailers don’t pay vehicle fees and our RV did the same thing they do: sit at the site. Site was level and plenty long enough for our big, full-timer rig.
