Super friendly people, in a super friendly town. The sites are nice and clean - a little open, but each one has a medium size tree. The camp is right on the river and the hot springs are a three minute walk down the hill. Sites are ~$30 which I thought was expensive till I saw that they have a full kitchen (under a pavilion) with a gas stove, gas grill and sink open to all campers. There are six individual bathrooms with sinks, toilets and showers - super nice. Like... You could get ready for prom in this place.
Cozy and clean. Closes at dark. It's a bit close to the interstate, but if you're tired from driving through the mountains, canyons and planes, it's an easy place to roll into. Also there's a phone booth from which you can call the camp owners at any time and they'll come assist you! You can also pay any call anyone else from there.
Apparently the address is 5965 York Road
Took a quick swim here on my way north. Picnic tables, swing set and a beautiful blue late in the middle of a desert wetlands. Informative, peaceful and beautiful. Hit it up!
Not sure that picture really represents the campground, but it was great! The office closes at 7:30, but they had someone on duty all night who could probably check you in. Tent and RV camping, pool and mostly clean bathrooms. Epic old swing set too. It was the only grass I camped on in the whole southwest.
Maybe there's tent camp in here, but I couldn't find any. RVs only and they close fairly early. I drove around and couldn't find anyone then had to drive three miles back to the main road.
The guy working here was extremely helpful when I showed up late at night. The cleanest bathrooms I saw all trip. KOA cabins and RV hookups available - NO TENT CAMPING. but worth it to stay in the cabins if you don't have an rv. Had a wonderful experience.
