Absolute must stop! Picture spot!
Easy to hike with kids and wheelchair accessible we noticed.

Short hike to upper section with the best views.

Large parking area for RV’s.

Must see if a history buff and great history summaries for kids. Fort is also just a few minutes away.

Definite stop for your kids. The water is warm but not hot. The geyser starts at the top of every hour (when we’re there it was about 5 minutes late) and lasts for about 10min. We got there early and walked around water area examine al of the rock and read history panels.

Plenty of area to park for large vehicles. Not a lot of shade on hot days.

We actually loved this KOA. We had a 32” RV and it was easy to access our site. We also checked in after hours and they were very accommodating.

It was fully booked the night we stayed but we still had ample space for our family. After hours was also very quiet.

We had our two pups with us and there were several paths and space for walks. I even got a 4 mile run in the first morning.

You can take a short 15 walk to the Marina where our kids swam in the lake, paddle boarded and played on water trampoline. Dogs are also allowed to swim. There is limited parking but there is an overflow parking area close by for RV’s and cars.

On site, extra shirts and goodies (if you are stopping by before a longer trip to Yellowstone and forgot anything).

Highly recommend!

We got there about an hour before sunset and never found this. You probably have to hike a while before spotting this site which we didn’t feel comfortable doing so.

It was also completely deserted.

I just stopped here for my Mom. Cool historic site. Nothing else close by. Pretty deserted so we were able to stop right in front and jumped outside for picture close ups.

Nothing else around there and only food option was Pizza Hut.

Great local park and stop for kids.
Hard to park with a very small parking lot - we parked street side with our RV.

Shade areas, trash cans and picnic benches for a quick eating spot or to relax with your dogs/kids for a bit.

Cool place to stop for kids. We parked our 32” RV across street and walked over with kids and pups. There are also places within walking distance to order food and picnic tables at site to eat outside.

Looks like a popular spot for local gatherings so nite that it isn’t remote and it might also be crowded.

Cool place with historical markers and summaries to read to your kids to understand the background. A diet road drive but was easy and flat.

We had a 32” RV and we were able to park at the street and walk up (3min) for a closer view. Pretty deserted so we also let our dogs off leash to run for a bit.

Nice spot to stretch legs. There is also a bike path that runs by if you want more time to stretch legs and ride around.

There have been renovations inside and outside (Indian statues are no longer there). Inside was closed due to COVID but hopefully we can see inside next time.

Our RV was 32” and we were able to find parking across the street.
