The owner Scott was a great host. Very accomodating and laid back. The park is on the rise and is already a really peaceful mountain valley escape. We stayed near Stoner Creek and sitting on the swing by the water and having a fire was just a perfect way to end the day. Stayed a week and it was a nice escape from the busy packed areas I have been staying. Another great aspect of the park is the grocery store. It’s fully stocked like a normal grocery store with produce, snacks, apparel, truck, rv, and ATV maintenance things. 10/10 will be back next time season! My new favorite place in southern CO.

My partner and I stayed here for a week. The Weeknd’s were busy but the weekdays were so peaceful! Nothing like being in the middle of the woods all alone haha. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They had a giant bonfire every night for anyone that wanted to join. It was getting chilly at night so it warmed us right up! The bathrooms were in need of some TLC but they were not awful. The trials around the property were great to run around on. You can bring your golf carts or RZRs and just have fun. I enjoyed our stay here! Definitely will be back.

If you do full time like myself and find yourself staying here. Spots 25-28 are best for Starlink! The other spots were too obstructive.

Arrived kind of late in the day as the sun was going down. Still easy to get to our spot. Stayed in spot 71. Super nice views, camp hosts were amazing! Showers were nice and hot. I loved being able to escape to the beach.. even in October the beach was super nice! It was nice to go walk on break to the beach and the town was super close by. We will

We arrived and saw our spot was in the middle of this giant cluster of RVs, we called and asked if we could move to a different spot that wasn’t surrounded by others because we like our space… the Rjourney rep was not helpful stating how all the outside spots are for long term and the middle are for short term. Found out our neighbors have been here since June and that’s pretty long term but whatever. We just needed a place to sleep for the week.

Another killer was that this park is about 35 minutes to downtown Lake Charles and is in the next town over. Again it’s not a bad park but maybe try to be more accommodating and also change the name to Iowa RV Resort.

Originally was headed to Upper Grit wall but was concerned that my truck and camper wouldn’t make it up the hill so we opted for lower grit wall. It did not disappoint! Was a little rocky but our ram 1500 was able to manage with no problem while towing our 22ft Jayco. Super peaceful area. Occasionally you would hear a motorcycle riding along the valley but no issues at all.

Arrived super late but was able to find the spot with ease. Loved this little place and it was minutes from town but still away from the noise. Super clean facilities and nice people. Laundry onsite was a major plus!

My partner and I arrived right after sunset so it was a little hard to see some spots. We traveled down about a mile or two before seeing a little turn around spot that was perfect for our camper and Jeep to swing around and park in. 10/10 will go back again. I love that the area is camper friendly.

I planned on doing some dispersed camping but due to the snow, had to ditch that effort. So we stayed here for 2 nights. Super run down. They don’t have any appearance rules so the full timers had shit everywhere. The only good part was being close to the river. I was near the back of the campground and this one camper had people in or around it all hours of the night. Loud cars came by all the time. Multiple times I would wake up to people arguing or talking right outside my camper. Had little to no privacy. Definitely won’t stay here again and it’s not worth the $45 a night. Wait until end of April to come to Pagosa where the better parks are open.

We arrived at dark on a Sunday. Barely anyone was in the park. We ended up having the park to ourselves til Friday. That’s when the weekenders came in. They were so disrespectful. people let there kids just roam all over other peoples campsites. This one family had their kids go through and pick out our wood from our fire pit. Kids were loud and screaming all over the place. It was a zoo. Just beware that if you are going to camp
Here, plan for it mid week and not weekends.

Besides not having water, this place has been my favorite campsite. The staff was friendly, views are amazing, area was super spaced out. I loved it! Was here for about 10 days and I will love to be back.
