On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow.

When it comes to pizza in Lexington, I have to stay true to Pazzo's. The food is good and priced fair. They have an excellent selection of beers that is constantly rotating. There's lots of events during the week to keep you coming back. It's conveniently located across the street from UK's campus. Definitely has a fun atmosphere and stays busy during the night. Check it out!

Cahoots is easily one of my favorite dive bars. Key word, 'dive'. Don't go here with velvet ropes and VIP areas in mind, you will be greatly disappointed. The drinks are cheap and the crowd is never overwhelming. Apparently they have a reputation for pouring strong wells. Unfortunately, I'm a beer drinker. They have a couple pool tables in the back. That's my main draw to the place. So grab some friends and a booth near a pool table, I promise you'll be entertained for the night.

What the hell is a skate park like this doing in a town like Louisville? Haha. It's absolutely insane! Being a flat ground technical skateboarder, i usually get turned off by trips to skate parks. Luckily, this one progresses through all skill levels. The pyramid of ledges is where I had most of my sessions. I'd also venture out into the intermediate area to hit the hips and banks. The park is literally open 24 hours with stadium lighting at night. It's very easy to spend an entire day (or night) at the park.

The houses are incredible, but saying that doesn't give them enough justice. If you drive through and have any sense of imagination, it's amazing to picture what that neighborhood used to look like. It's sad that so many of the houses are broken up into apartments and rented to college kids. However, there's still hope! If you want to see a perfectly preserved block, take a stroll through St. James Court. I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is hands down my favorite bar in Louisville. Very local and friendly environment. I'm a U of L alumn and it's hard to not run into someone I'm acquainted with. The music on the weekends is amazing. They've even hosted Sleigh Bells and Big Gigantic in the past. Rumor has it the owners have a passion for restoring old pinball and arcade machines. The entire building venue is lined with all the classics. They also rotate out regularly to keep things interesting. So grab a group, throw down on some pac-man, put on your dancing shoes, and enjoy everything this place has to offer!

Casual is in the description. If you deem yourself a sushi connoisseur, leave that attitude at the door and enjoy this place for what it is. You can built your own roll, eat it, and be out the door in fifteen minutes. This is a great spot to grab some quick sushi for lunch without having to sit down at a restaurant. I think it's a great concept and I hope this is something that catches on and chains out. Someone needs to give Chipotle a run for their money!

One of the better downtown beer selections. Lots of live music and random events to keep you entertained. All of the staff is genuinely friendly and keep me coming back. The food is greatly underrated. They recently installed a grill and have taken their menu to the next level. This used to be a fairly clean and cool looking place. Unfortunately I have watched it deteriorate over the years. Sometimes there's flies, the bar is water-logged and decaying, and every now and then you'll get hit with a bad smell that lasts the entire night. All in all, I've never had a truly bad experience, but the bar could use some maintenance after years of rocking hard.

I got a wicked case of food poisoning from their sushi. I was up all night fighting symptoms. Will not return or wish that experience on my worst enemy!

This is definitely my favorite place to eat in MainStrasse. It has the best sidewalk patio seating of any restaurant in Covington. All of the food is fresh and original. The owner constantly keeps the menu rotating and seasonal. It's impossible to get bored with the same things. I'd even argue the Blackened Tilapia Tacos are the best tacos in town! If you're in the area, definitely give Main Bite a try!
