One of the better downtown beer selections. Lots of live music and random events to keep you entertained. All of the staff is genuinely friendly and keep me coming back. The food is greatly underrated. They recently installed a grill and have taken their menu to the next level. This used to be a fairly clean and cool looking place. Unfortunately I have watched it deteriorate over the years. Sometimes there's flies, the bar is water-logged and decaying, and every now and then you'll get hit with a bad smell that lasts the entire night. All in all, I've never had a truly bad experience, but the bar could use some maintenance after years of rocking hard.
The horror! The horror!
It shares a parking lot with a strip club.
Nation is the first burger focused joint in the downtown area. I highly recommend checking out their Sweet Pot Tots and brunch menu. But be warned, they have become quite popular for weekend brunch. So either go early or late around peak hours and you should be fine.
If you avoid weekend nights, you'll have a blast! Otherwise, prepare for out of order games, extremely large crowds, and disappointment. I recommend trying the specialty drink the Hulk Hogan at least once.
Great neighborhood spot for brunch. If you've got an appetite, checkout out the Hot Mess.
Unfortunately, this location doesn't accommodate much of a dining experience. For that, I'd recommend their Crescent Springs location. But if you're looking for carry out or delivery, this is the place for you. The food still holds true to the name.
It's a BIG local name when it comes to barbecue. Their dishes are simple and focused on their special sauce. I recommend anything on the menu with pulled pork. Check it out!
I grew up near this LaRosa's joint. I remember skating up there as a kid and scarfing down a calzone. To this day, they still hold up to their delicious goodness I have grown to love.
Heh heh, it's a funny name. This place is nostalgic for me. I used to go there as a kid to check out the giant statues and fossil beds. Check it out!
