Cute little campground run by some very friendly folks who are living their dream in building it from the ground up! John and Vonda are working hard every day making improvements so that your stay is great! The back in sites have been blacktopped and are quite level. They are spaced nicely with some privacy provided with shrubbery and trees. State of the art FHU sites. The pull through sites are grassy and have mostly gravel pads. There are plenty of green areas and some walking space with a small lake on the property. Roads are wide and easy to maneuver. One way in...one way out. I10 borders the pull through sites so could be a bit noisy. We picked a back in site and were very pleased...no road noise...great WiFi...even got satellite. We are spending 6 days here!
A very unique State Park in East Texas. Although the park is currently undergoing a building project in addition to site upgrades and a road improvement project it is a wonderful place to visit. One of our favorite Texas State Parks!
This campground is very small but is well kept and has pretty plants and flowers all around. It is right on Mobile Bay and within a short drive of the beach and many other fun things to see and do. We arrived to the onset of yellow deer flies that bite so that wasn’t much fun...the owners are really nice and super helpful! Hope to be back someday!
Just did a one night stay. Pull through FHU site was adequate...not totally level. Easy off and on highway. We checked in after office closed but check in was easy. Lots of residents, but they pretty much kept to themselves. Very shady...lots of trees!
Not a bad place. Management was very nice. Sites were too close but they were FHU fairly level. Satellite was good...WiFi was spotty. Walmart close by. We didn’t see much of the advertised wildlife.
Nice large KOA. Right in the middle of town. We had an end Pull through site...not completely level but not bad. No problem with satellite...WiFi not too good. A few places to walk with a nice pond. Quite a few residents. Pool was nice.
