Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on November 21, 2022Very nice management. We have a long 5th wheel so they gave us an extra spot for the truck at no charge. They also gave us a nice map and sightseeing book when we checked in which was very helpful. Very close to downtown district and the military park.
Could be nice BUT! The sites are very close together. We are in a fifth wheel, we parked as far to the driver’s side as possible, and we were unable to get our awning out. The connections, trees and other things between sites make it difficult finding the perfect place to park so you can get your slide outs extended. The extremely small sites and the layout make it, so your neighbors dump hose is at your doorstep. When you get into your tow vehicle you must walk in front of your neighbors’ rig to get around your truck and open the door. They have what appears to be the perfect picnic tables they look amazing and are very well kept. HOWEVER, they are made of shiny reflective metal, just like the old playground slides. With the temperatures dancing around 105° they were dangerous if you even brushed them on your way by. You must have covers for the table and benches.
Sadly, it is amazing how fast a few people can change an experience. They have a few long-term campers, and they just don’t care about anyone but themselves. I think most people have experienced people like them. They like to feel intimidating and make you uncomfortable. The travel in small groups, talk very loudly, stare at you and making you feel like you need to get out of their way. They drive extremely loud cars, and they allow them to sit and run and they rev the engines at all hours. They dive extremely fast up and down the rows of campers. If a child ever ran out there could be devastating consequences. Adult Bullies.
What a nice quiet park. We lived it. Bathrooms are clean, and the laundry room has a couch and tv to watch while your clothes are going. The pool was clean and refreshing. We would definitely recommend.
We were stacked up here with about 6' between spots. Appears to be a lot of full timers. Tow vehicles partially blocking aisles forced us to back out all the way to the exit lane. It was tight. Pool was good and has playground and dog area but ground is so mucky (at least when we were here) and mosquitoes so bad just wanted to hide inside.
Very nice folks running the place though. Cute possibly feral kittens and mom at back of park.
Close to National War Museum which is worth a visit. Also, Coke and Antique Doll Museums.

Squashed in very close, no place to put a chair or eat outside - next to your neighbors sewer pipe. But it was a last minute booking and the owners were very welcoming, and it was a very quiet night mid-week. There are a lot of full time trailers here, so maybe it would get busier at the weekend.
Lots of facilities : laundry, pool, dog park, playground, gym, basketball court, showers.
We just cranked the A/C and relaxed with a movie before heading off the next day.
Had no trouble getting in or out of our spot : 25ft trailer 21ft truck.

We stayed for 3 nights while exploring Vicksburg. We stayed during the week so it was pretty empty, we did see a lot of late arrivals who were gone first thing in the morning. It looks like most people just pull off for the night while passing through. It's a pretty standard, parking lot rv park with full hook ups.
We had a nice, long, gravel, pull through. The site wasn't very big, but since we didn't have neighbors on either side it wasn't a problem. Good wifi. Great dog park which we used multiple times. It was large and well-kept. The campground was clean and quiet and perfect for us as were didn't spend much time there. Super inexpensive and we would stay again!

Great place to stop to check out Vicksburg and the National battlefield. The RV park is under new ownership and they seem to be making lots of good changes. We used Campspot to book our site and it worked well. We were able to check in early even though the rules say no exceptions. We were very appreciative so we could go checkout the battlefield in the afternoon instead of waiting in a Walmart parking lot to check-in. The wifi was very bad but cellphone coverage was great, Verizon, AT&T we're best but T-Mobile was very good too. We didn't use any of the amenities at the park. All sites are pull thru and 30/50amp with good water pressure and sewer hookups. Only negative is the Animal Clinic next door had a lot of dogs barking a couple times a day. We would definitely stay here again, easy in and out, close to town and safe!

We stayed here just overnight on cross country trip in Site #13. Long enough for my F-350 to stay hooked up to 32’ travel trailer and gravel space was adequately level. The manager kindly switched my site from #28 that was too short to stay connected. Sites are very close even for an RVP. Our slide was maybe 3’ from our neighbors slide.
Appears to be about 30-40% occupied with long term trailers but there were many other short term campers around us. Convenient to I-20 and Vicksburg Battlefield (which we really liked). Far enough from Highway to be quiet. Surroundings are run down industrial area but it felt safe for me and my two kids. Pool appeared decent although we did not use.

Mostly level packed gravel pull-thru sites with full hook ups, including about 12 cable channels and about the same number of on-air channels. However, since they have the Clydesdale Hamsters, who needs anything but streaming. With two TVs and three iPhones, we’re enjoying 30Mb+ downstream! Three full bars on AT&T
Office was closed when we got here however there was a sealed envelope for us (as well as other Sat arrivals) and envelopes for the four slips that are apparently open tonight. In addition, we got confirmation emails after registering and a reminder email the other day. The place is clean and organized and less than five minutes from I-20.
The only reason for not giving it a 5/5 is the lack of any shade at the slips. Otherwise this is a great place and we’d stay here again. 4.5/5!

For one or 2 nites, this is a good safe place. Full hook ups, level sites, easy to book on line and check in. Sites are close together but place was quiet and felt safe. Great location for visiting Vicksburg and seeing the sights. They have a large dog park and playground for kids. Pool was closed for winter. Get a Good Sam’s discount which makes it cheaper than other options.
