This RV Park has a new owner, Marshall Warren, and a new name. It is now called The Waters RV Park.
We have been here for a month and enjoyed our stay...close to our kids and grandkids! The sites all have level concrete pads and FHU. There is a small lake. It is a very quiet peaceful park about 10 miles north of Wylie just off of Hwy 78.
This is a really nice , well maintained park! The staff is very friendly. We stayed for a week visiting the area and would return if in the area again!
Park is really pretty. Didn’t seem to care too much about State Park rules like dogs on a leash or cars parked in the grass. Office staff was very friendly. Park police patrolled regularly. The lack of FHU sites in this park is really sad. Sites were very unlevel!
Nice park for an overnight stop! Directions to get there were not clear and all the construction just made it worse!
First time here bringing our granddaughter on a beach trip. We had a wonderful time! Wish the sites were full hook up!!!! Very nice park...could use some upgrades but I think those are planned! Very clean and very friendly staff! So much to do in the area!
First time I’ve been back to Huntsville State Park in many years. Not particularly impressed with the condition of the site we were in. Very unlevel! Rather unkept!
JBs is a basic overnight stop. Shady large level sand and gravel sites. FHU. Not much to do in the area..signage is good to get in. Owner greeted us. Payment is in cash or check.
Good place for an overnight stop. Well kept sites...long enough for Big Rigs. no shade. Owner, Gary very nice. Does not stay onsite but can be reached by phone or text. Not much to see or do in the area. Wal-Mart close by. Would stop again if passing through.
This campground is a hidden jewel! Located close to the highway, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Beautiful little pond, lots of green spaces! Sites are level (some with a concrete pad. A little close to each other, but not as close as some parks! Wonderful friendly staff! Pool could use a little work but it was clean and refreshing on a hot day! We will stop again if we are in the area. Provided lots of information about local spots and tourist places!
Bowling Green KOA is a typical KOA...not as nice as some but not the worst we have stayed at. Had some issues from the start with the park person finding our right site. He was new and the office gave wrong information. Finally got set up...site was pretty level with a mix of gravel and grass. We had a nice pad next to our coach and space all around us which was great!
About an hour after arrival we had no water (that lasted about 24 hours). A camper had run over a water hookup and didn’t tell the office till they left which wasn’t the campgrounds fault, but they should have called a plumber sooner to solve it quicker!
Not sure why they are classified as a Holiday...nothing going on while we were there and it is pretty run down.
Close to the highway but no problem with road noise.
Dog park was the best we have seen.
