While this park is very nice and new we found the nightly rates to be significantly overpriced. We stayed 3 nights during the week and we found the pool area to be accommodating for I would estimate to be around 30% park capacity. There is no way that I would consider going there over a weekend when the park is closed to full capacity. I just don't see the pool area, which is the big attraction area during the summer, to be appropriately sized for the size park it currently is. After checking in and reading through some of the materials we noticed they are planning to add what I would estimate to be about 175 more cabin type spaces in a new section that is under construction. From my understanding this new section will have its own bathhouse/restroom area. However, I saw no plans to add another pool or additional water features or space around the existing pool areas. There is NO WAY that the current pool area is sufficient for this expansion and I anticipate this being a big problem in the future for guests. The currently pool in my opinion should be at least double the size for the current park size.

Additionally we found the park to be very under staffed and unable to keep bartenders or even Tavern workers onsite and these features open to guests. One of our days there they had no pool bartender and the tavern would randomly close during the day leaving guests without those services. If they cant keep up with a park that is at ~30% capacity there is no way they do well when this park is FULL, much less with the additional cabins that will be added.

We did try to play the mini golf course one evening but there was only one ball left for my family to try to use. The course had players on it, but not what I would consider to be a large number of people. I would estimate there were 20 people on the course total prior to our attempt to play. We gave up on this adventure and went back to our campsite for the evening. The kids were let down to say the least!

I know I am being a little harsh but I want to be very honest about what we experienced and what you may have to contend with on your visit. We did enjoy the time we spent there and will likely be on the list to try again one day. But we will wait for them to get more of their processes and personnel issues under control before returning.

I did like the fact that all the RV sites were concrete and driving through the park MOST of them were easily accessed. Although towards the backend of the park there were some sites that were simply not useable in my opinion based on the angles in which the trailer would be put in while backing and the terrain of the site. This would be around sites 553 if I remember correctly

I am giving this 4 Stars still but they have some work to do to push this a 5 star rating. Not sure how they are gonna make the new section and all its new guest work when that opens up if they cant take good care of the guest they have now.

We stayed during the off season (early Feb) and the weather was a little chilly due to the strong breeze coming off the water. We thought the park was well taken care of and had some good amenities. I did find it a little weird that you had to go all the way down to the very end of the park to turn around. This just seemed like you were opened up for more potential for a kid to dart out in from of you. Given the lay of the land, there really isnt much they could have done different with that, so just take it slow and beware. The canal was nice for fishing although I only caught 2 fish (I didn't have high expectations). The park was still very busy
that weekend, even for the time of year. They had a little two man band show one after noon and we really enjoyed that. They had a RV detailing service company going around detailing RV's. This was an outside company that they allowed to come in. The prices were fair so we did have our rig wash/waxed. The park is a little bit of a pain to get to and there isn't much around. But sometimes you just need to get away and that's exactly what you need, no outside distractions.

The family and I made the short trip from Houston to Lost Lagoon and we were not disappointed. We stayed the week leading up to fathers day in one of the executive sites (#150) and we pleased with the extra room you get with the larger sites. The park was very well kept and The pool was amazing and the prices for food and drinks were ok. Some items were priced well and some were overpriced, but it all kind of balanced out. This probably isn't the place for you if you are expecting a quiet relaxing weekend during the summer (peak) months. We did not experience and anything wild because we stayed during the weekdays but from returning guests stories, it can get a little wild on weekends. With all that said, we will be back!

Campsites are average. Most areas have lots of tree cover. Sites 1-35 do not have any shade and are just grass sites. The river is great and has some deeper holes. We have stayed here twice during peak floating season and did not see a bunch of floating traffic come through the area. This park is just about a 1/2 mile upstream of where the frio goes into Garner State Park. The cell signal is not that great and the Wifi is spotty. I would not expect to rely on your cell phone and wifi for your devices to function well.

We have been going to this park for 10+ years and it just keeps getting more and more expensive. They have made some upgrades over the years (mainly more cabins) but nothing that would warrant the 200% and in some cases 300%+ price increases. Its to the point that this will likely be our last trip here based solely on the fact its just not worth the money to us. We used to get sites for $50 a night. Now that same site will cost you $168 a night. They have gotten greedy and I just can support this type of business model any longer.

As for the park, it gets crowded on the weekends and during peak season. The kids love the water park but I will honestly say it really geared more towards younger children. Bigger kids 12yo+ just dont have the same experience that the younger kids do based on the splashpad and kiddie water features. I just confirmed they have decommissioned one of the two large water slides that bigger kids and adults would frequent more often. This leaves only one large slide operational at this point. Next to the outrageous rate increases, are the rude people that cut through your campsite. If you are new to this camping thing, DO NOT CUT THROUGH SOMEONE'S CAMPSITE. Learn some camping etiquette!!!

This will be our last trip to this place. The sites our group stayed in this year were freshly concreted, which was great. However, they failed to level the ground between the newly renovated pads. They literally but sod over HUGE holes big enough to easily break an ankle in. It was obvious they was no attempt to smooth the ground out before the sod was laid. Luckily we made it through the brutally hot days without someone getting hurt from just trying to walk around the campsite. Again this year there appeared to be no real upgrades to the park water features. As a matter of fact one of the two BIG slides has been be decommissioned and is no longer there. Same old lazy river was about he best thing an adult had to do, IF you could find a tube. Those seemed to be in short supply. Dont get me wrong, it was never an outstanding place to go. Just be warned, its not the place it used to be.

Have stayed here about 3 or 4 times and I will tell you the two ladies checking you in are very friendly and accommodating. We have come in after hours and they had everything ready for us. The staff here has always been helpful and even allowed me to use one of their ladders for a couple hours to finish a project. The park is all gravel and there are quit a few long term/extended stay RV's in the park. The swimming pool is HUGE and well maintained. They even have a small hot tub area for adults only if you desire. The sites are not the most luxurious I have ever stayed in but they have everything you need and get the job done. They have onsite bathrooms and showers, but I'm not sure about laundry. It is located on the edge of town and there are so many great restaurants very close by. If your looking for over the top luxury then you may be disappointed, but there is no reason I wouldn't recommend this RV park to friends. They are priced fair and they will continue to get my business!!!

If you are looking for a nice little rv park in the middle of the city and conveniently located to everything, yet still with the riverfront amenities this could be your place. The park is pretty well kept and right on the prime Guadalupe River. They have about 7 sites that are right on the river (within 45'). The kids and I enjoyed fishing in the river. They have some kayaks that can be rented upon request. They ONLY drawback to this RV park can be the noise from I-35 which is directly overhead. If you are from the city, then its probably not that big of a deal. But if you are looking for a quiet secluded RV campsite, you may need to look elsewhere. We have stayed here 3 times and will be back in the future

We have stayed at another Jellystone park that by far exceeded the accommodations of this particular location. Although I have no major complaints, I guess I was expecting more. The sites where just ok, nothing I would really get excited about. The one we had was spacious but not level at all and sloped severely to the rear. We were able to get it level and didnt let that become a bigger issue than it needed to be. The waterpark attraction left something to be desired for us. It wasn't horrible but after visiting another one of the parks, it just didnt measure up. I will say it was in a great location in relation to the "horseshoe" if you are into floating. This is a popular floating location and its only a couple minutes from the park. They did have a decent laundry setup that we took advantage of. We did not use the onsite showers so I cannot comment on those. I hesitate to really be to tough on this review but I wanted to be honest with how it measured up to other options out there

The family and I stayed there over the weekend (4-22-22) and loved it. I was in town for Fire Training and it was good proximity to the fire field. This park is only a few miles out of the busy campus area and was just right for what we wanted. The park had great showers and small general store. It also has a dump station if needed. All the sights are concrete and the site we were in was pretty level side to side but not as much front to back. This wasn't a big deal and we easily took care of that. We thought the park was quiet and we didn't experience anything that we considered unpleasant. The Wifi was by far the best out of all the RV parks we have stayed in. We will definitely stay at this park again.
