Camp Fimfo is a brand new (still under construction) resort that is a diamond in the making. The main attraction is the water park which is loaded with slides and an interactive water playground. The large pool with the (soon to be open) swim up bar was a great way to spend the hot afternoons lounging. The sites were nice size but ours was not level and having walked through the park you could see 90% of the sites occupied required leveling. The general store has many nostalgic type of products and plenty to eat and drink. The onsite restaurant had a really good cheeseburger and the family enjoyed the freshly made pizzas. Also this is a Texas sized park and its only partially open, I recommend renting a golf cart.

Pros
Waterpark is fun and there are four main slides, tubes provided. The interactive waterpark is also a ton o fun.
Nice sized sites with lots of new green grass
Access to the Guadalupe River (within the park boundaries)
Putt Putt golf
You can bring your own food and drinks to the pool area.
The bartender will come out to the pool and cabanas (daily rental for a cabana) to take and deliver drink orders
Very friendly staff.
Immediately next door to the Whitewater Amphitheater so you can hear the shows. You can't see the stage but it sounds great. I recommend parking on the left side of the General store.

Cons
Its pricey. The daily rate is higher than the local competition (Jellystone). Also the general store is very expensive. We bought 3 sodas and 1 bottle of water ($18). They also wanted $9 for a bag of ice (you can hit the gas station at the corner and get a 20lb bag of ice for less than $4).
Fee for selecting your site online ($30). Competitors don't charge to pick your site
Not able to bring your own golf cart
Some sites have a sewer connection that is high out of the ground (about a foot above the grass). This might not be an issue for some but I don't appreciate having to fight gravity to clean out the sewer hose.
Wifi worked well during the week but by Friday afternoon until we left it was almost unusable. We certainly couldn't stream any shows on it.
AT&T signal was one bar at best at our site but worked well in the waterpark.
Lots of construction traffic and noise and dust at our site which was on the very edge of the construction (this, of course, will eventually go away)
Way too many speed bumps and they are big.

Overall as they continue to finish the build out this park will really be a hill country diamond. It is pricey but its very close to home for us (about 24 miles) versus Jellystone in Waller which is very comparable but over 133 miles from us. The offset of the travel with the trailer helps to justify the higher cost.

This place was amazing! The waterpark was great for a break from the heat and we were able to rent a little cabana by the pool to watch the game in while the kids played at the waterpark! The campsites were clean and flat and they had some great activities planned for the kids while we were there.

Despite the ongoing construction, this is a great RV resort with lots of great amenities. We stayed in December and the pool/hot tub/restaurant/bar were open on the weekends (not necessarily every day during the week and abbreviated hours). We didn't utilize all the amenities because it was just too cold.

We are remote workers, so the focus of this review will be cell signal. Depending on where you stay in the camp, you can get up to 5 bars on Verizon or AT&T. The close to the stream/rivers, the worse the signal. The higher sites (we stayed in 298) you will get a full 5 bars of 4G/LTE (no signal booster needed). My Verizon hotspot got 100mbps download speed. Not too shabby for this area. The park does have free Wi-Fi available and it was surprisingly decent (i.e. usable) for an RV Park. If you book any site in the 290's, you will get a solid cell signal.

Most of the sites are built into the side of a hill. They are concrete pads but they are not all level. Bring leveling blocks. Also be aware that many of the sites back up to points in the hill where there is stormwater runoff. Be prepared for some mud runoff when it rains. This may improve as the grass they have planted takes root, but this is the Texas hill country ... not sure how the grass will survive.

Pricing wise, this place is expensive. With everything being under construction, honestly, it's too expensive. That said, it will be easier to justify the price once construction is over and all amenities are open or functioning. This place will be fun during the summer months!

Best RV site ever! Two big hot tubs, one very big heated pool with volleyball net, fantastic splash pad (nicest I have ever seen) 4water slides for adults and kids over 48 inches, small water slides for small kids, best playground ever, and zip Line under construction. 18 hole miniature golf, and the list goes on.
Level concrete pad, water, 20,30,50 amp, sewer, trash pick-up, many shade trees, river, clean restrooms, a lot of rest rooms, GREAT staff.
Variety of bike trails, some easy and others very very challenging that are hat the lake, which is a short ride away. Expensive if you’re just staying there for an overnight stay, but if you want to spend the entire day there or a month there the place is fantastic.I had a question about the park and asked Frank, one of the grounds keepers, he was very pleasant and a great guy to talk to.Plan to go back and stay a lot longer.

When we want a more resort style experience with a ton of activities, this is our spot! Some growing pains will subside with time and a more experienced staff, but we are three trips in this year and will continue to frequent this in between our rv adventures

While this park is very nice and new we found the nightly rates to be significantly overpriced. We stayed 3 nights during the week and we found the pool area to be accommodating for I would estimate to be around 30% park capacity. There is no way that I would consider going there over a weekend when the park is closed to full capacity. I just don't see the pool area, which is the big attraction area during the summer, to be appropriately sized for the size park it currently is. After checking in and reading through some of the materials we noticed they are planning to add what I would estimate to be about 175 more cabin type spaces in a new section that is under construction. From my understanding this new section will have its own bathhouse/restroom area. However, I saw no plans to add another pool or additional water features or space around the existing pool areas. There is NO WAY that the current pool area is sufficient for this expansion and I anticipate this being a big problem in the future for guests. The currently pool in my opinion should be at least double the size for the current park size.

Additionally we found the park to be very under staffed and unable to keep bartenders or even Tavern workers onsite and these features open to guests. One of our days there they had no pool bartender and the tavern would randomly close during the day leaving guests without those services. If they cant keep up with a park that is at ~30% capacity there is no way they do well when this park is FULL, much less with the additional cabins that will be added.

We did try to play the mini golf course one evening but there was only one ball left for my family to try to use. The course had players on it, but not what I would consider to be a large number of people. I would estimate there were 20 people on the course total prior to our attempt to play. We gave up on this adventure and went back to our campsite for the evening. The kids were let down to say the least!

I know I am being a little harsh but I want to be very honest about what we experienced and what you may have to contend with on your visit. We did enjoy the time we spent there and will likely be on the list to try again one day. But we will wait for them to get more of their processes and personnel issues under control before returning.

I did like the fact that all the RV sites were concrete and driving through the park MOST of them were easily accessed. Although towards the backend of the park there were some sites that were simply not useable in my opinion based on the angles in which the trailer would be put in while backing and the terrain of the site. This would be around sites 553 if I remember correctly

I am giving this 4 Stars still but they have some work to do to push this a 5 star rating. Not sure how they are gonna make the new section and all its new guest work when that opens up if they cant take good care of the guest they have now.

When we first arrived staff was friendly. They provided us with a map to our site. When we arrived at our site, the site was very unlevel from left and right. We called the front and told them and they said we could move sites, since this was in December, a lot of open sites. Our new site was also unlevel, but not as bad as the first one. The overall park is beautiful and they have every amenity you can think of. We will be coming back here in the summer, but word of advice, if you have a big rig, make sure you lock in your spot because some are a lot worse than others.

Great location, with close access to New Braufels, San Marcos and San Antonio. The park itself has amenities galore, including a live event venue (ZZ Top and Willie Nelson were playing that weekend - wish I had checked on that in advance!) Zip lines, play area, resort pool with swim-up bar, splash pad and more. Facilities were spotless and spacious and appropriately sized for a very large campground. Staff was friendly and professional; check-in was flawlwss, even though we arrived early. It was fun for all ages. We brought our son, dauhter-in-law and grandkids, and everyone had a great time. The only knock was the fact that they are still building cabins in the back of the park and the construction crews do NOT heed the speed limits. We will absolutely be back, and will also be checking out the Waco location.

We got to camp in the evening, it was a little hard to see the check in sign but it was quick to get our pamphlet. Sites are decently sized (we have a 35ft 5th wheel) we choose a site on a corner bc we have 2 babies. There were lots of things to do, a beautiful park which was fun for the kids. One day we did free bracelet making. The only negative is the pool is closed (I don’t think it said closed online, only that it was heated-we just assumed it was open.) The main store is huge and has a TON of cute items and necessities but it was closed Tue and We’d for restocking. They also have propane where you can fill up on site. Overall super nice campground.
