It's a cute little photo op and visit if you're already in the park for a walk. The fountain has signs that say you're allowed to get in ankle deep, so of course we had obliged and snapped a shot.
as the other reviewer said, facilities were clean. the dog park is also great, and the sites are spaced out!
Only been here once, but I couldn’t say more positive things. We planned a day trip expecting to be here a few hours tops..ended up spending 6 hours including pushing the kids along so we actually got to see all three of the forest giants. Easily could spend an entire day there letting the kids explore and taking easy hikes around.
They also just started adding new “playcosystem” areas for kids to play with, and our kids had a blast. They only stopped to eat.
It’s technically free to get in, but they encourage a $10 donation per car load. I’ll happily pay that for the amount of fun we had and to keep this beautiful park around.
If you ask a local where to find the best views and relax, Eden Park is one of the top recommendations. It’s a great spot to pack a lunch, find a picnic table, and eat before you walk around and enjoy the views. Krohn’s Conservatory is on the grounds too, so you could easily make a day out of coming here.
This place was struck by a barge and destroyed in 2019. It's closed with no indication it will be relaunching any time soon.
So great! We're playing pool!
I updated the photo to something a little more appealing :) feel free to upload and save a photo using the Edit button on the page. We'll approve the change as soon as we can!
This is a great 2 hour or so hike if you take your time. We hiked with our dog who had a blast running up the trail and through the bushes circling us. We went on a Saturday in the late summer and it wasn't crowded at all. Maybe saw/ran into 5 or 6 other people all day. Don't expect any amazing views or anything - this is almost strictly just a pretty walking path through a bunch of greenery with the occasional fallen tree to check out or clearing for a sitting down and eating.
i run these courts
This is your run-of-the-mill local grocer that carries your basic supplies. You won't find Exotic Spices of the East or an entire aisle's selection of organic baby food, but you'll be able to stock up on beer and potato chips.
There's also a secret about this little place -- they sell possibly the best donuts in a 100 mile radius. Sure, you have Holtman's in OTR and Emerson's around the Northern Kentucky area, but this place... you can't find a better donut for less than a dollar each. Did I say a dollar? I mean $.50. That's right people, this place sells donuts for less than $.50. FRESH donuts. Like, you-see-them-deep-frying-the-dough-and-mixing-the-icing-in-the-back fresh donuts.
If you need beer, soda, and potato chips, this is your place. If you need and Oreo crumble-topped donut with an icing filling (or 6 of them), this is the ONLY place.
