Access is fine unless there is a line up.

We opted to use the parking lot across Boyce Dr to wait for our turn. We also parked over there for a lunch break afterwards -- it was totally empty on a Sunday afternoon.

Rinse water only/No potable water on site. BUT, if you're traveling with your four legged bestie, there is a nice fenced in dog park located right next door!

Great site, there's a large field at the bottom of the hill that's easily accessible and another large grassy field at the top of a slightly intimidating hill, there's nothing to it and it's worth going to the upper section. The hill gets very difficult to pass after rain, it's slippery and steep and you can easily slide off even with 4WD and good tires and no trailer (ask me how I know).

The lower area has a few campers pretty consistently, and pretty busy on the weekends. We would get a few neighbors up the hill just on the weekends but plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

There are some nearby shooting areas so noise can be an issue, it's quieter up the hill.

We may or may not have lived here for a while, no one bothered us. Definitely considered keeping this one a secret, please don't mess it up!

Navigating to the GPS coordinates for this site took us in via Rhody Truck Trail, this route was a little stressful with the trailer in tow. We made it fine without any damage but there was a sandy hill climb involved and the trail definitely required 4WD (while towing). If I had checked ahead of time, instead of blindly trusting Google Maps to get me there, I would have noticed that access is MUCH easier if you take H-58 to Rhody Creek Trail instead. This approach is paved except for the last 3/4 mile, safe with trailer in tow, would not require 4WD and provides a relatively easy turnaround at the next intersection, just don't go too deep. We found a grassy pullout, where we could have setup camp, but did not have Verizon coverage from inside the truck, and we decided not to check boosted access from within the trailer... we passed and went to Woodland Park Campground instead.

we were pleasantly surprised to find that this rest area had room for multiple RVs to park overnight away from the main truck parking area. spots weren’t huge, but they were big enough for us to put all of our slides out, a very nice bonus! quiet all night long and a free dump with fresh water.

showers and a great night of sleep were enjoyed by all. 👍

Nice large area with a few disturbed sites spread out, good distance between neighbors and a beautiful area. Conveniently located about halfway (~25 miles) between Durango and Silverton. There are nicer sites closer to Silverton if that's your destination but it was nice to have the amenities of a larger city like Durango nearby. The Needles gas station/market is about 5 miles south and they have RV dump, and a Fresh water fill for $4.

Verizon: 2 bars w/o booster. 60ms ping, 13Mb down, 4Mb up.

Nice drycamping with vault toilets and dumpsters nearby... and not much else. The bulldog diner is really nice and their food was good.

As others have mentioned, it gets pretty windy, and the PNW October weather kept us inside almost the entire time.

Clean and easy, there is one on either side of the road. Water fill was pretty slow.

We towed through all of FR525/Loy Butte Rd. and scouted across the street before getting frustrated and ending up here. This site is less scenic but still really nice if you can get a good spot, and it's much easier to access.

We had a lot of neighbors but managed to snag a site by a pretty tree that people couldn't really crowd us in. There was a good amount of noise but it was distant enough that it didn't really bother us.

Verizon coverage was acceptable for work and netflix, but I cannot remember speeds or signal strength.

We had a terrible experience here. While there is one nice site, the rest are pretty bad so it's a gamble whether you get in. Lots of litter and broken glass in the area, and there was shooting LATE into the night right outside the good campsite almost every night. It also seemed to be a popular party spot for kids on the weekend, there were multiple nights that we went to bed and woke to the sound of loud music and partying far down the road.

I didn't find a source for water in the area so we had to fill 6gal jugs with the RO water dispenser at the gas station.

The nice site turns into a swamp with a little rain, as does the road in. The rut near the entrance required some road building to get the trailer through on the way out.

It's fine. The pull-thru sites are very dusty but extremely easy to get into. The woman in the office told us that we would be able to us the wifi for whatever we needed (work, etc.), this was the main reason we came to the park. But as with any RV park, it left much to be desired, it worked better in the wee hours when others seemed to be sleeping.

It was closely located to Terlingua Ghost Town and Big Bend, so it served it's purpose. The park also offers is a laundry room... However, I don't really recommend it. Both times I've used it (3 years apart), my money has been stolen from the machines, the clothes come out soaking wet but still dirty from the washers, then some dryers don't dry while others burn.

I said we could camp here again but mostly that's because there aren't too many other options.
