This site is going to be tough to beat, I may never even write another 5 star review again.

I can only reiterate all of the great things that have already been said about this site, it may have ruined all other sites for me... we'll see.

I will add a few notes:

By the end of our two weeks here in early September, the temperature had dropped significantly and it gets quite cold at night (below freezing), a fire ban prevented us from doing much outdoor socializing.

Unfortunately, even after Labor Day when the parks cleared out, the internet service with Verizon was almost unbearably slow, speedtests consistently resulted in 200-300Kbps down, even with 2 bars unboosted or 4 bars boosted LTE signal.

We used Gros Ventre campground for free dump/fill, but Colter Bay is also available to the North. Propane is only available at Suburban Propane Supply in Jackson at about $4/Gal.

The NF road up is easy, but too narrow for two rigs side by side.

Driving around in Jackson is stressful enough, I would avoid towing through town.

Made the mistake of putting off our domicile visit to SD until November when it's freezing here, but free electricity and space heaters made it tolerable. The park is pretty nice, although it's pretty desolate and unmaintained in the winter with some trash here and there. There are some homeless folks living here now and it seems like the city probably does not patrol or enforce the stay limits during the off-season. Bathrooms and water spigots are shut down for the winter but the dump station and dumpster is still available.

The sign says you can stay for 3 days for free, after which you need permission to stay any longer with a $5/day donation, there is an iron ranger for donations, and no number posted to call for permission.

There are 7 RV sites with 30A electric posts and several firepits distributed around the rest of the property that are presumably okay for tent camping.

Verizon LTE speeds are excellent (50Mbps down, 10Mbps up).

There is a Walmart, HyVee grocery store, Tractor Supply, O'Reily Auto, and some other businesses directly across the street, as well as a few gas stations, UPS store, local print shop, and Driver's License exam office right down the road. The DL office is only open a couple days a week so you may want to plan your trip accordingly.

We spent one night here with @aluminarium with the intention of sharing a huge single site, but were later told this is against the rules and one of us would need to move, they moved out to the Seney Township campground.

The remainder of our stay here was nearly silent, with only a few tent campers off in the distance, and maybe 2-3 vehicles passing our site each day. This park is off the beaten path and a ways out of "town" so it was a very peaceful and quiet stay.

The same attributes that make this a peaceful park are two sided, of course. Cell service with Verizon was very unreliable inside the Airstream without the booster, we would sometimes have a few usable bars of 3G, but it would come and go, the booster and omni provided a perfectly reliable and fast connection (17/10Mbps). Because the park is nested deep within the forest and directly adjacent to the river bank, their are A LOT of bugs, and some of them are very large.

There is trash service in the middle of the park and a hand-pump well for water that would work for filling jugs but does not provide any way to connect a hose to fill tanks, even with the water bandit because the opening is so large.

we arrived on Saturday afternoon and the park was pretty full, quite a few large families and off leash dogs. we only stayed for one night but by the time we left around 2:00pm on Sunday, the place was completely cleared out. 100% empty, not a person to see anywhere.

there are 18 back-in sites located near the entrance, but if you keep driving past the tent area, the toilets, and the playground, you will find five additional pull-through sites. the road/turns are a little tight for a rig as big as ours, but we successfully made it in and out without hitting anything, so it's probably chill as long as you're driving slow enough. there are also two dumpsters on site! we love a free and legal place to get rid of trash.

the speed test was the brightest highlight of our stay: 111Mpbs down and 1.53Mbps up on Verizon LTE.
the park also offers WiFi, no speed test, but we were able to stream our most data intensive apps seamlessly.

We decided to stay here for quick access to the city, for that, it worked fine.

We rarely stay at RV parks, and I hate paying for camping, so when I do, I like to get some value for the expense. I did not feel I got that here. The other reviews cover most of the details of the park, so I'll just add a few notes from my "hate rv parks" perspective:

The "tent" sites are very tight, and packed with RVs with slides out, etc. Very little space between rigs, which contributed to lots of noise.

Not dog friendly, the manager demanded we take her out across the highway to walk. This wouldn't be a problem l if there was enough space in the campsite.

The entrance is small and on a blind curve of the highway.

Prior to here we stayed at Tolt MacDonald Park, which was awesome, but we ran into reservation conflicts there. If you don't mind the longer drive into the city, I'd highly recommend Tolt MacDonald as an alternative.

We just spent an overnight here to visit friends. The park has a decent layout and simple system with no host or oversight. The pit toilets were disgusting, but the rest of the park was nice and clean. There seemed to be several regular guests, but they had sites available when most other campgrounds in the area were full.

Seney itself is not much of a town, but more of an intersection with a gas station/party store, they had diesel and non-ethanol gas available, drinking water for $2/gal. and the usual snacks and small grocery selection.

There is a Verizon tower in Seney so cell coverage for us was excellent here.

This place is unique, we really enjoyed the layout and all the space at each site. I hate paying for camping, but thought the rate was fair enough for 50A service and some private space.

Camp host was a real jerk, but I get the impression that his wife handles the customers and I just caught him when she wasn't around, or a bad day or something. I only interacted with him once, no complaints beyond check-in.

The suspension bridge, yurt village, and container "house" are very cool, this park is definitely different.

The power went out one day, due to two transformers exploding. The county had the utility company onsite quickly, they dug a huge hole and had service restored within 12 hours.

Oh, and the laundromat at the end of the road is excellent, best we've used, by far.

My only problem with this place was the Verizon coverage, we made due with constant booster usage but still it was unreliable and extremely slow.

Drive by review here, but the place seemed pretty nice. I only stopped in to use their fresh water to fill my tanks as the campground was full for the weekend. They allow non-guest campers to fill and dump for free, which was a nice surprise.

Drive-by review, we planned to stay at this site but found after a long drive up, the gate was shut and the campground closed for the season as of Oct 11. Area is great but there are not many camp alternatives on the way up, nor too many places to turn around. We mistakenly progressed farther up the road to where it gets quite twisty and inaccessible for a 30' Airstream. Cell is excellent on one side of the hill and non-existent on the other so it cuts in and out as you make your way up.

March 17th - 21st (4 nights/5 days)
8 day stay limit

This was our second time staying at The Overton Wildlife Management Area. It's a convenient and FREE stop over between Vegas and St. George, Utah. Plus, it's super close to Valley of Fire.

Verizon LTE was decent - 27 down, 3 up

The site was surprisingly quiet on weekends, except for the trucks full of hunting dogs that drive by occasionally. On the weekdays things get a little louder with work trucks and trains running all hours across the road. But there was nothing that was loud enough to disrupt working or Netflix.

Each site has an awning, grill, and fire ring. The area overall offers one dumpster but there is no water or dump. The site privacy definitely varies depending on which one you get - they are all divided by trees and bushes but some of them don't plants to go back far enough into the site.
