The campsite is large and I’d guess that there is close to, if not more than a hundred spots. There are pull- thru RV spots as well as many back-in spots in addition to the lower-loop that is tent camping. The bathrooms are not gender specific and have flushing toilets and wash basins in them. There are also wash sinks for the dirty dishes. The camp host, Bob McN. was a wealth of information on the trails in the park. He is an off-roader and so was able to provide me with awesome feedback and information on the area that I am planning on visiting.

Warning! There are coyotes that have a winning record with pets left alone tied up to rigs!

I pulled in late afternoon Monday 23 Aug 2021 and stopped to read the notice board at the entrance of the campgrounds. Tammie, one of the hosts came out and we chatted. She allocated me spot #16 which is right next the river. Wow! It was awesome! There are a limited number of spots right on the river and I suggest trying to get one of these. The fee was $15.

They are cash only and have bundles of firewood available for sale. There are fire rings and also food cooking grill and so either firewood or charcoal is the way to go.

Considering that I pulled in only because there was an accident blocking the 191, this has been the best campgrounds on my trip from Seattle to Denver! A lucky find! I hope the folks in the accident are ok!

They have water faucets that shared amongst the campers. The bathrooms were clean and I saw hosts doing two bathroom cleaning runs and only did an overnight stop.

Great locations and the hosts are awesome too! Thanks Tammie and Roy.

I spent a Tuesday night, 24 Aug 2021 there. The campground is basically a U shape with the first 6 camp spots on the right being tent spots. There are three pull-thru spots on the return leg of the U. All of them were filled with 5th-wheels.

The last spot on the drive into the campgrounds, spot #6 does have enough space to park a Ram 2500 with a rooftop tent. The parking is pretty level and I used two small rocks to level up. Thanks to the previous folks who had clearly done the same. There are picnic tables for each of the camp spots that are terraced up the slope. The tent area is an additional level up. The tent areas for spots 1 thru 6 are secluded up in the trees.

There are two toilet facilities and another one below the campground at the trailhead. The toilet was clean. The bear lock-up bins and the water was locked up even though the campground was open.

During the night, there was some freeway noise but it was not intrusive at all.

I had a few deer come up close to me. They were clearly inquisitive.
