Don’t use the navigation option to get to the location. It took us to newly built subdivision. The trail was riding along side of it, but not a place you could park and get on the trail. May be better to just google the destination. We couldn’t take the time to go back and missed this opportunity.

Fun little break from the road. Decided to eat our picnic lunch there instead of rest stop. Walked around the little town to stretch legs. The old-fashion soda shop looked neat and the old nail was an interesting piece of history. Of course the egg was neat also.

Forgot to state that owner has 2 places. The Campland was full. So I reviewed her other place-Burlington RV Park. Didn’t find it on Roadtrippers.

If you go in with the idea of it’s a cheap place to stay overnight and then head out-it’s great. Only $25 for full hook-ups and WiFi. Lisa, the owner very responsive. Easy check-in. Right off I-70. No grass, picnic tables, or trash cans. Planted new trees last year. Small lot. There is a bit of a smell in the area due to pig farm and feedlot. But again-fine for overnight.

We were just looking for a place to tent camp overnight on our road trip. Mainly an RV camp, but 3 tent sites. Small and close together, but nice and do-able for what we needed. They have 2 kayaks, 1 row boat, 2 canoes and a paddle boat to rent for $15/hour. Nice little exercise option for the evening. Grounds are kept well. The dock area could use a little tlc. They had the cleanest, most charming, bathrooms I've ever experienced for a camp site. The host family running it was very friendly and helpful. Lots of shade with the tall trees.
